As said by others the penthouse / jasmine suite is nice but expensive and it's a long way up those stairs after a skinful of ale , some one said they had a bad meal in the vic , i must admit i to have had the odd ( Dodgy ) meal in there but i still go there to eat and in general it's pretty good food and they sell british beer's which is a bonus for me....!

I dont think you will see many empty seats in Dec / jan on any carrier from LHR / BKK , busy , busy , busy time of year , also Thai stopped doing PE on this route years ago , they make more money by sticking in extra BC seats instead....!

I always thought that stout had to be drank at room temperature , i remember when i was a kid watching my grandad stick a poker in the fire until it was glowing red then plunge it into his glass of stout to warm it up........

Those chinese lanterns are a total health and safety hazard and should be banned immediately , one of them landed on my neighbor's car last festival and burnt it to a fucking crisp.....!

Can you not leave the batt at home and try to source another one in the PI , or just use the power lead instead , i remember a couple of years ago the batt on an old acer i was using in Patts packed up and i managed to get a similar one from tuk com and fix it to my machine with some gaffer tape , it worked fine for the duration of the lappys life....!

Just out of interest , did you get the money you were asking for it...?
