hi I am at the lek at the moment and have been this last month(and next) unless you are very sensitive to noise its ok but if noise is a bother to you then another soi might be adviseable( the noise from the bars on 2nd rd are louder than the building work i'm on the 8th floor at the front) ps I sleep most days till 2pm

I went on a trip to koh larn on thursday and it was a great day left on the 12midday ferry came back on the 5 pm, went to samae beach rode the jet ski for 30mins had some food and drink lay on the beach on a lounger and had fun with friends though i was on my own (no girl)the day cost less than 1200 baht and 700 of that was the jetski so its great and at this time of year quiet and its very cheap so dont delay go and enjoy it I will do it again as i enjoyed it so much

seems that people have not got the correct idea of what I want I'm looking to go to a professional meeting to WATCH some good drivers as im a motorsport fan not particapant, though if they find a cart that fits me I might try that, thanks again (sinbin)jack

hi wallyperrier do buy a bike if you want to ride one most of the guys that advise you not to ride a bike (with or without an engine)come from countries that drive on the left and not the right as they do in england and thailand so for the brits its easier but do watch out for the thai drivers they have no sense of direction or sense full stop

hi, I would think that if you can afford to pay the inflated prices of the high end hotels then a few extra baht for a joiner fee would not make a difference,and the proximity to the action is a plus for most guys and a must for many

if you are only going for 3 days then go in style try the marriot or similar

Im at the LEK now the noise is intermitent and can be avoided by getting a room that faces 2nd rd and is on thge upper floors.contrary to the email they sent me on walk in I got a rate of 650baht and on the 8th floor in a very large room(I once lived in a bed sit much smaller than this room and had to share a toilet)this was a price I could not turn down as I love the location of this hotel and the pool is great for my daily swim

stayed at the flipper last year but moved to LEK as the flipper peiple said they didn't have a standard room and they were giving me no discount so similar room much lower price at the lek, but saying that if the price dont bother you its a good hotel

in the usa they call petrol gas, just an other americanisation
