why not try thai or eva both non stop from heathrow and both cheaper than £461 with west east travel

some air lines dont like e tickets thai included so you need the real thing hence postage

in july its still low season and most hotels will be greatfull for a walk in and will in most cases give a better rate than a booking agent .the LEK is good i stayed there last year and had no problems but i would not pay with CC any where in se asia pm me if you want the whole story about the LEK

I just booked thai air london to bkk may 1st to june30th for £384 fully inc from west east travel and thats a price i could not beat and I did try

try the sportsmans bar about half way down soi13 its also a great bar with great food and the pool is top class

as an old london resident for a lot off years the £44 deal is very cheap as the norm now is a minnimum £50

i stayed at the Lek last july in the old wing and paid 700 and found that room adequate but because a fuse blew in the evening i got for 1 night a room in the new wing(superior)which was not much bigger than my own so to be honest i wouldent pay the extra for either room just go for the old wing at the lower price. The lek is my favourite hotel right in the middle of all the action girl friendly good pool and buffet (breakfast and dinner) sinbinjack

keep your guns in america, I for one am fed up with your right to bear arms nonsence keep them out of thailandand everywhere else so I can walk the streets in safety and not get shot by some HONEST citizen who thinks im going to kill him just cause i look like a villan.I live in England and our police are not armed and we get by quite well without guns thank you sinbinjack

hi lil willy this may be a false lead but when i was in pattaya in june 04 i went to renew my visa on soi 8(i think)and in one of the bike rental stands i saw a disabled 4wheel buggy just like mine (now no longer needed)so why not ask if anyone knows if they are for rent in pattaya it would probably save you a fortune in airfreight charges. alternatively how far can you walk with your walker or sticks ? if you can comfortably make 25yrds and get in a cab by your own efforts then the only place in pattaya that would be difficult would be walking st after 7pm as they dont allow traffic to drive down it, the rest of pattaya is yours for the asking I was disabled quite baddly but have luckily improved so i know the problems you face the baht busses are great if you can hop on and off even if you do it slowly but you can get the hotel to arrange a normal cab and the prices are realy cheap in both cases.If you would like to PM me we could get specific about what you can and cant do sinbinjack

what i want is a clean place on the baht bus route(beach rd 2nd rd)off peak in may /july decent pool a must with good english /us cable under 20000baht a month what i realy want is somthing on beach rd with a sea view or failing that on 2nd rd

got to agree with party animal im a tight scot but this was way beyond anything i would have done

the lek is a great hotel with a great pool in a great area with great prices on a great soi in a great town yes, youve got it i think its good To be honest ive been in pattaya only once but i fell in to the lek more by accident than design and found it to be a good hotel that caters to single guys , but on a down note I who am a fussy eater spent most time eating in the sportsmans bar also in soi13as i dont like the buffet in lek

on my last (and it was my first)trip i spoke with some guys on the plane who were going to pattaya we got together and hired a mini bus 4 guys 2000baht cheap as chips

my first time was this year in june and I stayed on soi 13 at the LEK hotel it was great and as I was there for 4weeks i payed only 700baht a night, the location is fantastic and the soi is mostly very quiet with all the nightlife in neighboring sois there are 4/5 different hotels in soi13 and i think all are in the best area in pattaya anyone would be good for a first timer ps IMHO the best british grub is to be had in the sportsmans bar also in soi13 and all at great prices pps dont play pool with the waitresses they will kill you take your money and laugh over your much poorer corpse

hi just a word about wheelchair access I read about a hotel in the hotel review section that had some dedicated rooms for the disabled with all the usual facillaties I cant remember where it was but i think it was out of town in jontiem but a search through the reviews may prove useful hope you get there as its great for all us blokes ps im arthritic and use a stick
