The old members site is gone. Most of the features from there are reproduced here. Some are still coming but all will make it eventually.

The security on the board is quite high, hence the need to log in before reading messages. Some time ago we had a problem with locals accessing the board from internet cafe's in Pattaya because members passwords were remembered. It's far more important that security is good rather than making access easy. It only takes a few seconds to log in and it protects us all. Your problems with IE6 sound more like an operating system problem on your machine. I use IE6 and do not experience any problem.

Someone emailed me and suggested we have a board on airline deals. Sorry, I lost the email and can't remember who it was. Anyway it seemed like a good idea, so here it is on a trial basis. If we get a bit of traffic here I'll keep it. If you see a good deal somewhere, please post the details here. It may be a good idea to include the country of origin in your post header. Example - "Great internet deal from Canada.'

Buy it duty free in Sweden or Bangkok. I doubt if Bangkok street prices are any cheaper than Sweden and possibly they are dearer. Any imported goods in Thailand are expensive.

All good suggestions but probably too hard to implement. There is a collection box in the bar at FLB and Mistys and everyone is welcome to make a donation by dropping in some cash. FLB will be keeping the donation box in place after this appeal and your money will always be welcome ;D, whenevr you make it to Pattaya.

What browser are you using and what version (Netscape 4.7 ?)

Easter is a non-event in Thailand. Nothing changes and no one celebrates it. FLB is open 7 pm to 2 am or later when allowed by the police.

Can a few of you let me know how the Orphanage Party ad that shows at the top of these pages from time to time, appears in your browser. Specifically, does it fit in your window, does it look correct and does the red writing at the end appear in a child-like script. Just been messing around with flash animations for the first time and although it looks good on my computer I'd like to confirm it looks OK on a few others. Thanks Pete

I've set it up this way to keep the board secure. You must physically log in with your username and password whehever you access the board.

Frank, you are now a member. You do not have to go to the old member's site to log in here. Just click on message board from the open site will bring you here directly. The old members site will be incorporated into the new system once I get home and sort things out. The old members system and the new one are completly unrelated. You cannot use your password from the old site to get on to the new one.

Sorry Robert but I'm on holiday at the moment and have only been able to access the site from internet cafes. I can't approve new members from internet cafes. I'll be back home on Wednesday and will work through a very long list of waiting members then. Pete
