It's the VC Hotel. Never seen the rooms but it looks like a 3 star place. It does have an attached massage parlor. It's mainly used by arabs and chinese tour groups. A little further down the road towards RG is the Camelot which I think would be much nicer. Sorry, I dont have any info on booking these places.

It goes through to Pratamnuk Rd but you can only walk through the last part of it. During the daytime you can drive halfway through, from the Beach Rd / Walking Street end, to the Diamond Beach Hotel.

The problem is caused by the pics being wider than your screen size. I've resized the pics to a more reasonable width so the reports should look ok now.

Guys, I do have a fix for this problem which I will install in the next week or so. It is a major change to the code so I need plenty of time to put it in.

I hadn't noticed till you pointed it out. The script is a database script which uses commas to seperate fields. Seems like the programmer decided to ignore commas after the initial fields. Sorry about that.

The reason this happens is because the board knows you are logged in by placing a cookie on your computer. If the cookie is not there you will always appear not to be logged in and will not be able to access any of the member's areas or post anything. Your browser has options to turn off cookies. If they are turned off the board will not work. Usually these options are listed in Internet Options for IE or Preferences for Netscape. In some cases you can turn them off in two places, once under cookies and once under security. If your browser is set to accept cookies and your security is set to medium or lower then the problem should not occur. A very small percentage of people still have the problem after turning cookies on. As yet I have been unable to work out why. To date I have found only 2 solutions. 1) Change browser. If you are using IE change to Netscape or vice versa. 2) Alternatively adjusting your system clock backwards by a day or a week may also fix it. I have no idea why at the moment but we are working on the problem.

It alraedy is and has been for a long time now. The bars co-exxist with the markets - truely a horrible idea.

Stick with the Taxi Meter of which there are thousands strangely identified with a sign on the roof saying Taxi Meter and you will be fine. If your really worried then Thai Limousine which has a counter at the airport are very reputable and will drive you around in a nice Mercedea Benz . Trains to Pattaya are not really an option.

In Thailand the age of consent is 15. To work in a bar you must be 20. Prostitution is illegal. If you were to be caught with a prostitute aged less than 15 you could end up in jail for a very long time. If you were to go with a prostitute aged between 15 and 18 you may end up in jail for 2 years. If you go with a prostitute over 18 chances are nothing would be done about it.

Lots of sites including this one use macromedia flash for some elements. This site has used it for over a year but I recently updated to Flash 6. When you download the software it enables your browser to see animations that you would otherwise miss out on. It cost nothing and once you have downloaded it, you will never hear about it again, except when a newer version comes out.

Although other aspects of the recent crackdown have now been relaxed, the early 2 am closing is still being enforced. You will still find plenty of Beer Bars open after 2 but most of the big bars are following the rules and closing at 2.

What you need to know about the US Navy in Pattaya. First: No one knows when they will be here, including the sailors themselves. Any one who tells you differently is WRONG. The way the navy works is to keep everyone confused about where they are and where they will be. They run to a plan BUT it gets changed all the time and without notice. Of the hundreds of rumours I've heard that they are coming on such and such a date 99.99% have proved to be wrong. You'd be better off flipping a coin rather than listening to rumors. Secondly When they are here it makes little difference except around the Walking Street area. If a carrier group arrives there will be about 6,000 sailors. At any one time no more than half are allowed on shore so that means 3,000 in town. There are 3,000 bars in Pattaya so that's one extra person per bar. So who cares. In reality though they tend to hang around Walking Street and Soi Pattayaland 2. You'd be lucky to see one sailor in Soi 8 or North Pattaya. Thirdly Cobra Gold is an annual joint military exercise between Thai and American forces. It starts late April and usually runs through most of May. During the exercise no more than 200 guys get leave on any one day. The impact on Pattaya is ZERO. Usually for the last three days in late May a larger number will be given leave. Maybe a thousand or so. Impact on Pattaya - negligible. Remember, Pattaya has a huge over capacity of bars and ladies. Nevertheless when rumours of the navy's iminent arrival surface, thousands of girls trek down from Bangkok. That means the ratio of men to women probably improves even if the navy does turn up. If they don't which is the more common scenario, the ratio goes through the roof.
