  1. Here is a list of hotels in and around Pattaya (www.bookmyspot.com). If you notice any problems or missing information, send a note to changes@bookmyspot.com or PM me here. Thanks! FatherMojo

  3. Just doing the punter's part in relaying information to all. FatherMojo
  4. Oh hell no.... and it crapped on the carpet?! FatherMojo
  5. Great place, huge shower, round bed and great prices. I think the rooms have different themes and you should be able to have a look around. I think the rooms have a TV, but I cannot remember. FatherMojo
  6. I just checked the link and all I can say is WOW. The have juiced the daily rate. Last time I stayed there it was like 1,000 baht for the Single Suite over New Year's. Regarding the remodeling, the only change I can see from the pictures is that they now have in-room safes and have changed the lobby area. 1,500 per night seems expensive to me. That pool is in the lobby area and I have never seen anyone use it. In fact, I think it should be filled as it is too small for just about anything. Maybe it is 10 meters long. Seriously. 1,500.... If you go, try to bargain and barg

  9. Hey Kev, A new truck? Now who could have I mentioned that one to me before This might be incorrect, but I think you need a proper visa to have a vehicle in your name. Not sure of the quality, costs etc but your better half can give them a call and report back on these schools. 10. As this will be your primary residence, you might want to stick to short time places until you are able to better know them. After you've completed your screening you can invite them over. It would be an absolute horror if the first girl you took ended up being a nutter and hanging around your place or screaming for you in the lobby. FatherMojo
  11. Yep. I have left bars because of loud music. I have even asked why the music is so loud and have yet to get an answer. Maybe they answered, but I could not hear them over the music. FatherMojo
  12. I stayed there for 1 night a few years ago. The room was big, but the lighting in the bathroom was lousy. I remember it being very dim. That is the only negative that I can recall at this time. Cheers, FatherMojo
  13. zaphodbeeblebrox, Thanks for the reviews, they are informative and interesting. They have given me more ideas on expanding my typical lunch selections. Cheers, FatherMojo
  14. Here are a couple of links... http://www.hillsideresortpattaya.com/ http://www.hillsideresortpattaya.com/map.html I have never been to this place. Based on the map, it looks like you will need special transportation to return to your room. But it does look nice! Here is a quote: The Hillside Resort Pattaya is located atop the South Pattaya Hill and within walking distance there are secluded beaches, an excellent nine hole golf course, a beautiful fitness park and the Pattaya Hill Buddha Wat. 15. Looks like a Japanese themed Love Hotel. Even the pictures of the rooms in the lobby with the corresponding prices listed reminds me of special times. Cheers, FatherMojo
  16. Great set of pictures. Thanks for posting. Cheers, FatherMojo
  17. I stayed there for about 12 days during December and over into January. I cannot comment on the food as I did not eat there. I thought that the rooms were nicely set-up with quality looking furniture. The rooms come with a DVD player, cable TV and a higher quality hot water heater for the shower. The rooms also have a small (not laptop size) safe. Even though your flavor of the night is welcome, I did not feel like this was the type of place to run in and out with a bunch of BGs. At times the Pub area had famlies, mom, dad and a couple of little ones so be discrete. The bar doe

Have you tried any of the internet shops? I believe some of them have scanners and you should be able to get the job done. FatherMojo
  19. Maybe I have stayed there 3~5 times. They must be doing something right as they were sold out at the beginning of July. Even though I would prefer a place with an in-room safe, I have never had a problem with the safe deposit boxes located behind the counter. The one downside is that the boxes are not available from 11pm until 8am so get your stuff before you fly off. The pool always looks clean, the food in the restaurant is tasty to me and the front desk staff are pleasant. FatherMojo
  20. I think he missed the area code... In country you should dial 038-414-805 Outside Thailand please dial +66-38-414-805 Enjoy! FatherMojo
  21. I think it is for cooking? The OP wants to stay for awhile, so I presume he wants to cook sometimes and have 2 burners (hobs?) is better that 1. FatherMojo
  22. Bring your own. I have been there many times and have never seen a FL there. I think Gullivers is going for the non punter crowd. FatherMojo
  23. Try the J&P Hotel. I think it is about 650 baht per night. The place has a pool and the rooms are a decent size. Additionally, they will call you when your love of the evening leaves to make sure that all is ok. FatherMojo
