  1. There is no sign of re-opening happening, and isn't the story I've heard.
  2. @jacko "Is it the only place to go now....Walking St no longer suits the Expat. Except maybe the 3 Windmills....." 3 Windmills? There are 2 Windmills, and each has 2 floors.
  3. Unfortunately, Steve is having problems accessing the forum (mods: are you able to assist, please?), but I've made him aware of your post and he will email you.
  4. Thanks very much, RT. Very useful. Unfortunately, I think that nothing you have said persuades me that a visit to PP is warranted on my next visit to LOS.
  5. Thanks, Regyai. That seems to make sense. So, as far as someone looking to rent a property is concerned, it doesn't really matter if a property is a condo or an apartment as it affects only to whom they pay rent.
  6. Thanks, but I don't think that that is a commonly accepted definition. Thanks. So if someone buys a condo and rents it out, does it then become an apartment?
  7. Apologies for going OT, but can someone help me out here, please. What is the difference between an apartment and a condo?
  8. I thought I'd investigate the new Las Vegas agogo, which opened in Soi LK Metro yesterday. I got there at 8.15 this evening. It opened at 8pm, so I caught the end of the first 20 minute shift. That shift was 5 girls on stage, one topless, four in lacey, black bikini tops, and all 5 of them wearing skimpy tennis skirts with G-strings underneath. The next 20 minutes shift consisted of 9 girls, and the one after 8 girls. Both shifts were the same in that the girls were wearing skimpy pink bikinis. The lights were not as bad as I had feared they might be. There were occasions when
  9. There was Las Vegas II and Las Vegas III. One became Big Hugs, and the other So Nice.
  10. And we anxiously await the results of the Italian genome sequencing of the virus they are carrying to know whether it is a new variant.
  11. Yes, but I think it was occupied mainly by Chinese tour groups. It wasn't just long waits for elevators but also the bun fights at the buffet breakfast.
  12. I'm pretty sure that that was the case with mine from the UK in June this year. Edit: This was a visa issued on the basis of retirement.
  13. Could it be that the new staff don't have the experience to know what really needs to be checked, and so are checking a lot more?
  14. I went there a few weeks ago to see if they would change some US $ which TT were refusing on the basis that they were dirty. Damini said the same. Brought the notes back to London and changed them with absolutely no problem.
  15. Probably why they have to move and drive around the block.
  16. I found that trying to locate the girl holding a card with my name on it wasn't always straightforward, particularly if you don't carry hold luggage and emerge earlier than the girl guesses you will.
  17. Reading the thread on Addicts relating to Nam's taxi service, it appears that the change was made in May - most likely for cost-saving reasons, having had a bleak period during Covid: the driver does not have to pay for car parking whilst she waits for the customer to arrive. The day before you arrive, Nam will send you an email with a photo of the area in which the car will be waiting, a photo of the car, the car registration number, name of the driver, and the driver's phone number. The driver will wait in the car, but sometimes will get moved on, so Nam requests that the customer shoul
  18. Someone I know who posts on a different board stayed there recently, and made very positive comments about the place.
