  1. Just to remind the boardies that this is the title of the thread. Anyone else noticed a drop in food quality at PBG lately? It was started in February 2011 and since then the kitchens and menu have been entirely renovated. Surely this is the time to draw a line under the thread before it become a discourse on medical problems that may or may not be caused wiith food issues.
  2. Last time I ate there was September but when I am in Patts its about 5 times a week. I like the food, commend the service and enjoy the ambience and have never had a twinge of any sort from the food. Took Thais there last time and they all were fine with the food as well.
  3. Thanks Joe. After that answer I would have to be pissed or mad to use a random machine on the street. I do after all have an in room safe in all the places I stay at so should be able to manage things.
  4. Yet again, thanks for the suggestions and information. Its appreciated and I will look up the In the Clouds option as well.
  5. What the foregoing does tell you is that even if you have to go back to your room and get your passport, at least you have a chance of getting your card back if its outside a bank whereas you might never track it down if its a random machine. Anyone staying at the North end of Patts might like to remember that there are fully operating banks with ATMs on the first floor of Big C on Second Road. As a matter of interest has anyone tried to withdraw cash using the in-branch facilities. I havent in LOS but if I need a reasonable amount of cash in my homeland I always take it to the counter and use the counter machine and advise them how I want the funds.
  6. OK Ok guys. You have convinced me that I really dont need this programme. I appreciate all the feed back and help. As a matter of interest I was using Picasa on my PC and then I started getting the blue screen of death every time I used it and in the end had to un-install it. No more issues and I now use a programme called FastStone which I quite like. I will however contact the original owner of the laptop to see if he can supply me with a copy of the programme. Once again, thanks.
  7. Yes, I dont know if its the same in Thailand as at home but if your card is swallowed at a random ATM the card is destroyed as the machines are serviced by contractors. This compares to using an ATM at a bank where they are stored for pick up.
  8. Sorry but I am not very tech savvy and I realise that some of you guys out there are wizards and I wonder if I can get some advice. I have a laptop with some installed programmes but no discs. I would like to get rid of one to give me a bit more space and was wondering if its possible to place this on a DVD or an external hard drive? I would like to hang onto the programme for another day (or a new computer). As a matter of interest the programme is Adobe Photoshop Elements 9.
  9. I am always of the opinion that its best to use an ATM at a branch outlet. At least if it gets swallowed there is some chance of getting it back.
  10. I have also heard that this is the best eating in Pattaya and if your a seafoodie its the bargain of a lifetime.
  11. Funny that but i really know nothing about authantic Mexican food but the Tequila Reef was not good enough to get me to eat there twice. I had better food in places that were just trying to be Mexican!
  12. Suggest you leave immediately before you are seduced! Pattaya is a very dangerous place for the unwary!
  13. So far, cross my fingers, I have never needed the services of a GP. Its more luck than good management as I have had some decent cuts. I was however wondering who was recommended in Pattaya and who wasnt. I do understand that a number of boardies have suggested that the hospitals are good. Are they suggesting that if you want to make a visit to a GP that you use A & E or whatever in Pattaya? I do see GP's advertising in some of the local rags and wonder if anyone has experience of them? I guess that I am concerned that if I loss, spoil or run out of prescription medicine that I would like a place to turn to. I also have an issue with being allergic to Pennicillin and therefore I would not self dose from a pharmacy in case I got the wrong thing. Any advice appreciated.
  14. Thanks for the update. Strangely enough, they advertise quite expensive fares but the package I bought was a real bargain basement price.
  15. Whilst MM gave a clear response to the question I dont think anyone on the board really needs to be "...working out the ground rules." Most people seem clear on this, and almost any other forum, and just what is expected of them.
  16. Thanks. I misread the time table and only have an hour or so. No problems.
  17. Just a suggestion Nev but I wonder if it might help if when members are due in town that they pre order a membership card on your web site. It seems an ongoing problem for people to see how they introduce themselves to the place and this, or some variant of it might be the answer.
  18. Just as a matter of interest (and I wonder if there is a tie up) but there is only one place in Pattaya that I have been excluded from. This is the one half way up the staires to the X Zone, The Irany. I had been into the old place when it was opposite but was turned away twice for "Not bein Alab". Go figure who are the racists.
  19. I suggest that you try Eden Masage in Soi Diane or in Pattaya Klang. These ladies do massage, not sex (its not impossible but...) and they will do as you ask and where you need. They are cheap, cheery and good at what they say they do and thats massage. Most of the ladies are older and married but if its a massage that you look for, look no further.
  20. 1000 B at this time of year for a decent place is not a starter, The best deal that I know is the Sabai Inn standard room and this is a good hotel, good pools but no breakfast and better to pay an extra 200 and move up to a better room.
  21. Interesting!!!!!!!!!!! Malware tells me that the site is blocked as being potentialy hazardous.
  22. I usually use MR T but decided to give Go a try and I could not fault them.
  23. Are there any people in Pattaya at the moment that have an update on the area? It was a bomb site in September where the old places were being toppled at the top end and I was wondering if any new construction had yet started?
  24. Thanks Glyn. I have been waiting for someone to state all of that in 2 sentences for seemingly years. One other point please, other than ATM fees (what are they please) are there any other fees loaded onto the account over the year?
