Sorry cannot add to the topic. I can however mention that last year I asked you about Yorkshire Tea. Well luck was on my side. A Leeds lad heading home presented me with all the YT that he had left and yes, its good. I was running short of my Kenya Bold and this filled to gap very well.

I flew with them last year . It wasnt all bad but I would rather not use them again if I had a choice. The stop-over in Pudong was boring and a cup of coffee reqired a second mortgage, One thing that was a pain after a long flight to get there was the combined layover and the time to fly to Bangkok. The time seemed endless. There are simply better options but the price is great assuming that you have easy access to the airport where your home airport is.

You bring up a good point. I live in a provincial town and need to get a commuter plane to Auckland for international flights. Unless I am spot on with my flights I could be caught with a few hundred dollars in extra costs. This is for overnight hotels, shuttles etc. I stay too long in Thailand for me to park my car, besides the distance involved. Also commuter flights can vary by 100 % depending on the time of day. As you have also pointed out, add to this the layover time as there are no direct flights to Thailand from NZ. I Realise that the poster was only discussing lowest fares from

I am happy to be corrected but in English I mainly come across the word as TAG. And I agree that it is the contract normally between 10 and 28 days. Sent from my CPH1941 using Tapatalk -

Had to visit the hospital a few days ago. These signs have appeared on the pavements. I tho they would be appropriate for Soi Chaiaphum! Sent from my CPH1941 using Tapatalk

I hate to admit defeat but I am getting traffic horrors in Pattaya. Thank Buddha for Bolt and an easy to use app. Sent from my CPH2477 using Tapatalk -
I only had one interaction with the Glitterman. Maybe it was a bad day but he was not happy with me taking photos. Maybe he expected payment. I'm not sure but left with a 'flea in my ear'. Sent from my CPH1941 using Tapatalk

I am sorry to say that due to travel woes in the past I avoid flying through Australia. Transit passengers are given a hard time compared with Singapore, KL and Hong Kong. Even travelling via Shanghai earlier this year was better. Sent from my CPH2477 using Tapatalk

Well if I was having a longish airport layover Singapore would be my pick. Lots things to do and places to go for free. Another thought is that I did get a few Malaysian Riggit and bought a some beers on the Air Asia flight. Didn't really need them but helped pass the time. Sent from my CPH2477 using Tapatalk

I think that you will find the Jolly Friar a part of history now but the same Soi has a dozen places with all sorts of food. As far as I am aware the nearest thing to the JF is Sharples in New Plaza. More food on the plate than I can handle but very tasty. Sent from my CPH1941 using Tapatalk

Let me add another perspective to the discussion. I too had heard good reports about some of the food and some of the vendors. I asked myself a few times why would I ever want to perch on a stool (if there was one spare) eating amongst the hussle and bussle of Soi LK. Add to this the mad bikers and the MB taxi parking a few metres away? And all of this with cannabis wafting on the breeze. The answer. Never. This was the wrong place for vats of scalding oil and drunk tourists out to get a fix. Oh yes. I think Mr. Buzzing Pattaya was a Chow Mein Charlie fan and that in itself was no recomme

Yet again another "Tour de Farce". Arrived on my phone at breakfast time and was a better read than my morning newspaper. Thanks as usual. Sent from my CPH1941 using Tapatalk

This subject reminds me of a story from some years ago. I bought a young guy who is a relative of mine to Pattaya. By day two he had settled in with a gogo dancer who was something special. They just cut themselves off from the world. Shortly before he was due to leave for home he came to see me. He was worried that he had no photos of his trip to share with the family. So I suggested a day trip to Bangkok. Off we went to visit temples, reclining Buddhas, palaces, Chatuchak etc. Everywhere we went I photographed. We had agreed to meet the cab at the Nana hotel and ended up in the plaza via -
