  1. Pineapples? I thought they were dirty stinking dildoes ! Sent from my CPH2669 using Tapatalk
  2. Just adding to your news Sent from my CPH2669 using Tapatalk
  3. As usual, thanks for the update as well as the memories. One thing it bought back was an excruciating bus trip where for hours we were regaled with, err, non stop comedy. I never wanted to hear a Swannee whistle again after that trip! Sent from my CPH2669 using Tapatalk

  5. I think that in a small country the cost of setting up and administration of such a tax would cost more than would be collected. Sent from my CPH1941 using Tapatalk
  6. One point I would make. Medication for Tinea is very avaliable and cheap in Pattaya. I usually get some from any pharmacy and take it home. I therefore tend to arrive back with a clean bill of health. Sorry that I can't offer a location but I would think any specialist foot place would have seen it all. 7. Same same for New Zealand but we still get taxed on dividends and share reinvestment plans. I have no option than to contribute to the government. Sent from my CPH2669 using Tapatalk
  8. Happy birthday Adam. Sorry That I missed the party but looking forward to seeing you again next month. Sent from my CPH2669 using Tapatalk
  9. Yet another great dive into the cesspit. How do you end up smelling of roses? Always appreciate the monthly go to page.
  10. Yeah right! Sent from my CPH2669 using Tapatalk

  12. Just for the fun of it I asked an accommodation question on Chatgp. I would suggest this as another option but you will need to do more homework on Agoda or whatever with any results. Remember the more details you enter and the more focus you can give, the better the result, possibly! Sent from my CPH2669 using Tapatalk
  13. Being an over six-footer I too always asked for the Emergency Exit seats, and generally speaking, got them. ("I speak English, Chinese and Thai-yeah right!"). There was the issue of them being beside the toilets and some passengers deciding to stand in your space as they waited for the next empty one. And then there was the bulkhead kids who wanted you to adopt them and Sanjay getting pissed off. Then as you say, they put a price on them and that was that. I have seen some passengers ante up with their credit card and pay just before the flight, especially if there are no other buyers for the seats.
  14. So true! It's one of the great changes from the past. I just love to see those Indian tailors engrossed in their mobile phones as I sail past without another offer of suits and shirts.
  15. Can I suggest that you try Mr. T Taxi. They are available on LINE. I have been using them for ages and have never been let down. The drivers are on time and courteous and the cars clean and modern. Can I suggest that you message your individual requirements and ask for a quote. They are usually very quick to reply and never seem to have any language problems. I have had SUV vehicles in the past but the current price for whatever they send is 1200 baht each way all tolls included.
  16. Thanks for the vote of confidence in my ongoing health! [emoji4][emoji4][emoji4][emoji106] Sent from my CPH1941 using Tapatalk

  19. I thought that I would update you on the upgrade situation. Malaysia allows me bid for an upgrade to business but I am rarely in the hunt. Yesterday I was advised that my bid was successful. It was not cheap but here's my reasoning. My upgrade is from KLIA to Auckland. I should be on the plane about 11 hours and get maybe up to 4 hours in the lounge at KL which is both boring and expensive. In addition I have been starting to get some leg pains as I still have DVT from exactly 2 years ago. The cost was about 21000 baht equivalent. It's on the credit card and due for August payment assuming I don't kick the bucket first! Sent from my CPH2669 using Tapatalk
  20. Just joking Sent from my CPH1941 using Tapatalk
  21. Exactly. Inter terminal travel is usually easy, anywhere. It's getting from one side to the other that's a pain. I was also a bit pissed off that despite being almost as old as Buddha, they wouldn't help me with a bit of electric trollying. Sent from my CPH1941 using Tapatalk
  22. The only comment I would add is as follows. While KLIA is indeed a bit of a zoo, I find that the distances to travel between flights easier than Singapore.. The train or bus makes this easy enough for me. Singapore can see me jogging bloody miles despite asking for help which I didn't get. Admittedly this is in part due to the very tight schedules that they fly. Late last year they held my flight up 30 plus minutes to allow people to travel across the airport. How easy it could have been fixed by putting us all on one or two of those electric people movers. Sent from my CPH1941 using Tapatalk
  23. For some reason I can't figure out, Malaysia costings are a real mystery. An English friend considered flying from the UK to Bangkok recently and found business class to be among the most expensive. When you consider that they keep on mislaying their planes you have to wonder why. Also KLIA is possibly the most expensive air port to stop over in. With local tax added a standard bottle of beer is around 400 baht! Sent from my CPH1941 using Tapatalk
  24. I understand what you mean. Malaysia allows you to select what you are willing or can afford to pay for an upgrade, but there are minimum figures set. Bearing in mind that for me it is 4 separate flights. Two long two short and I can bid for any part of the schedule. I can guarantee an upgrade for an exorbitant figure or take my chances with a low ball bid which rarely succeeds. Sent from my CPH2669 using Tapatalk
  25. Good question. Because I am limited in my choice of airlines I use Malaysia Airlines quite often. They offer all sorts of upgrade but I am sorry but I am not sure if European airlines have similar options. Incidentally. The upgrades have to be bid for. They have a sliding meter telling you what the percentage possibility is. Sent from my CPH1941 using Tapatalk
