I have also heard that this is the best eating in Pattaya and if your a seafoodie its the bargain of a lifetime.

Funny that but i really know nothing about authantic Mexican food but the Tequila Reef was not good enough to get me to eat there twice. I had better food in places that were just trying to be Mexican!

So far, cross my fingers, I have never needed the services of a GP. Its more luck than good management as I have had some decent cuts. I was however wondering who was recommended in Pattaya and who wasnt. I do understand that a number of boardies have suggested that the hospitals are good. Are they suggesting that if you want to make a visit to a GP that you use A & E or whatever in Pattaya? I do see GP's advertising in some of the local rags and wonder if anyone has experience of them? I guess that I am concerned that if I loss, spoil or run out of prescription medicine that I would like a place to turn to. I also have an issue with being allergic to Pennicillin and therefore I would not self dose from a pharmacy in case I got the wrong thing. Any advice appreciated.

Thanks for the update. Strangely enough, they advertise quite expensive fares but the package I bought was a real bargain basement price.

Whilst MM gave a clear response to the question I dont think anyone on the board really needs to be "...working out the ground rules." Most people seem clear on this, and almost any other forum, and just what is expected of them.

Thanks. I misread the time table and only have an hour or so. No problems.

Just a suggestion Nev but I wonder if it might help if when members are due in town that they pre order a membership card on your web site. It seems an ongoing problem for people to see how they introduce themselves to the place and this, or some variant of it might be the answer.

Just as a matter of interest (and I wonder if there is a tie up) but there is only one place in Pattaya that I have been excluded from. This is the one half way up the staires to the X Zone, The Irany. I had been into the old place when it was opposite but was turned away twice for "Not bein Alab". Go figure who are the racists.

Back trouble and Thai massages
teelack replied to jackcorbett's topic in Doctors, Dentists, Clinics and Hospitals
I suggest that you try Eden Masage in Soi Diane or in Pattaya Klang. These ladies do massage, not sex (its not impossible but...) and they will do as you ask and where you need. They are cheap, cheery and good at what they say they do and thats massage. Most of the ladies are older and married but if its a massage that you look for, look no further. -

I usually use MR T but decided to give Go a try and I could not fault them.

Are there any people in Pattaya at the moment that have an update on the area? It was a bomb site in September where the old places were being toppled at the top end and I was wondering if any new construction had yet started?

Thanks Glyn. I have been waiting for someone to state all of that in 2 sentences for seemingly years. One other point please, other than ATM fees (what are they please) are there any other fees loaded onto the account over the year?
-
How long did you have to wait for the ATM card and the account being active?

I have the opportunity to fly to and from Europe using Swiss Air however there seems very little written about them. I realise that there is a reasonable break with the above flight but I can handle that. I would however be interested in hearing back about what people thoughts are about this Company, planes, seats, meals, drinks etc as I know nothing about it as it does not fly from my home country.

Nothing at all wrong with this idea and I did used to use it but then thought that I would rather visit BK from Patts rather than stay there. For me the issue is the night life. I really cannot say that the big three, Nana, Patpong or Cowboy are as good as I can get in Pattaya and they are more expensive. In addition to this they are well spread out and travelling about in trains at night is not everyones cup of chai. The other issue about the great cultural places in BK as well as say Chatachak. To be honest, once was enough for me but then its always up to you--this is Thailand!

A point here. Its only 90 minutes or so from airport to your Pattaya Room-if that and that is really only 50/60 more with compared with going to Bangkok. I usually get in the back and as I cannot sleep on planes I get a nap in the cab and then I am ready to roar when I get to Patts. I spend longer travelling than you and its just no issue.

This must be the oldest thread on this board about a totally meaningless subject to the vast amount of the readers. Well done for breaking a record! -

LOL...........Thanks. I now see the issue. -
The answer to the OP is simple. DO NOT book in there first thing. Take a room somewhere for a couple of nights and have a tour of the place. The reality is that there are great rooms, good rooms and crap rooms and you will have to pay top dollar if you want the top class experience, The issue is this; only you can decide what is value for money. Its a great location but I want a large pool, peace and quiet and at a reasonable price. No one can tell you the room rate because you have not said when you will be there or what facilities you want. Its all a bit of guess work unless you do the work yourself.

Thanks Rodney. Can you tell me why others saw them and I missed out?
