  1. There has been some interesting comments from Dontchas post on motor bikes. I have never used a motor bike taxi in Pattaya but would be interested to hear back from members as to the safeness or otherwise. I know that the girls use these all the time and I have never heard one express that they feel unsafe or have been in an accident. I have always made the assumption that someone that does this line of work 7 days a week must be pretty shit hot at surviving the traffic woes of Pattaya. As a matter of secondary interest, what sort of fee do they expect?
  2. I think that Bells do daily mini bus trips from and to BK. From memory I think its 350 baht.
  3. Dontcha. Its good to have you back but I hope to hell that I never have to share a hotel with you. Are you serious when you wrote this? To sober myself up I walked up beach road and up to Tukcom to buy an external speaker for my phone so that I could listen to the radio by the pool without having to stick earphones in. Here am I feeling a bit delicate and I park myself next to the pool to dry out and recover and to read a good book (Thanks Canterbury Tales) and along come a plonker that believes that he needs to share his music with me. I am off like a shot and either move as far away
  4. Thanks Dontcha. As a matter of interest there are a few members would like to find that review that you did for accommodation when last here. We think it was the new place in Soi 2 and was wondering if you can give us a link to the review.
  5. I just dont get pissed off with tailors in Pattaya simply because I have been to Patong beach Phuket. Now these guys have the art of being totally obnoxious down pat.
  6. Very little annoys me and even if, its never visceral. I do however look at trip repots here and hate the guy that told Thai girls that it was important, polite and essential to have phots taken of them giving the victory two fingers.
  7. I would be really interested to see a bit of a TR on your experience at the CS Glyn.
  8. Butterfly. Excellent and I for one appreciate the research that you must have had to have done to put this together.
  9. Sure that someone will buy her a stiff one! Best wishes Teelack
  10. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you piss taker you!
  11. Sorry fellows but still no response. If and when I get one I will post here.
  12. One of the moree stupid responses that I have ever seen on this board.
  13. Thanks Paul however the following line from the story puts it into context. "The HPA and Health Protection Scotland is currently unaware of any cases of infection associated with the use of the fish spas pedicures in the UK
  14. Hi there guys and galls. I am sure that there are some out there that think this is an inappropriate thread however I am also sure that if this is the case that the mods will shift it. I know that there are a number of Boardies that are New Zealanders out there as well as a number that have been here in times past and enjoyed the experience. For these reasons I am updating you as follows. Whilst the death toll is now in the 180’’s, it is anticipated to rise to 240 or so. There is a major international force of about 1000 people assisting in the search, rescue and recovery. Now t
  15. Hi there chaps. Lets see what Soi 2 Inn comes up with in response to the following. Hi there. I am writing to you on behalf of a number of people. We are very regular visitors to Pattaya and we all like the Soi 2 area. We like the look of the Soi 2 Inn (we normally stay at any of the Sabai properties) however there are some point that we would like to make mention of: We would be looking for low season monthly rates. You show this to be 28000 baht however we believe that a figure of 24000 is nearer the price that we believe the property to be worth. Are you expecting to review yo
  16. I know that Steve was the target here but the answer to your question is: a lot of places!
  17. If enough people emailed the place offering 24 K for a month in low season, I think that this is what it would be.
  18. Interesting responses. How many times have I read threads here that come to a conclusion when someone writes something to the extent of " Well its your dollar/baht why should anyone tell you how to spend it." The bottom line is that I somehow think that you have made up your mind and really are looking for confirmation from others. It is however your dollar so no one really has a look in as the decision is all yours.
  19. Well for me I was hoping to stay 28 days so on the basis of what you get I believe 25k/26k would be good value. In low season last year I was happy enough with the better rooms at the Sabai Inn next door for about 835 per day. This was without balcony and breakfast but with use of the big pool across the road. I am really happy with Soi 2 and the bars at the top end and the excellent baht bus service, laundries and the proximity of Big C so I want to go back there.
  20. Hi there Cicero. I think that I will still keep an eye on this place and look for better off season rates. What with the location, pool, breakfast for 2 and a balcony room I would like to use this place. Like others in the Soi I am hopeful that they will lower the rates for off season or at the least have an special internet one.
  21. Two things. 1. "McShite with lies" Love it! 2. Sorry Pete but the PBG is the place to go.
  22. Suggest that you chat to some Thai ladies and get their opinions. They know whats best for them as well as whats value for money. Its a win win situation.
