In Fairness Nev I think that Frosty has a real point here. I would go as far to say that if you had have increased the prices in stages the hundreds of negative posts (on a number of boards and a number of threads) would not have occured but what has happened is that you have come across as a bit greedy and confused by forgetting details that we all were aware of. This is compounded by the promise of lower priced draught and then the inability to supply. This is another reason why it may have been wiser to just cool the rises for now. Just to add to the situation you decided to shoot quite a lot of messengers! Never a wise course of action. We all need messengers! One thing that we are all aware of on this board is how places can go into and out of fashion very quickly. Just look at the history of the two places on the left as you come into the X Zone building. These are examples of places that had a massive following and then lost it quicker than they built it. Finally, if you have any interest in Pattaya forums I think that I can honestly say that no bar has created such poor public relationships, leasding to the creation of so many negative posts. You may like to think on that as you continue to argue the toss about your pricing, services, public relationships and promises. I actually hope that you survive as I have spent some great nights with some excellent ladies from the club and therefore I hope that you can see that a lot of the posts are, rather than complaints, simply members trying to be helpful.

Thanks. I take your word for that.

Thanks and noted. My question remained unanswered: would also like to know if other bars have stopped selling draught because of the floods?

Fair point. I would also like to know if other bars have stopped selling draught because of the floods? This after all is the reason that Nevsteve puts up for being unable to supply.

What a shame that they don't call this " Angelescity.com"

Mmmmmm what a shame that we are neither in AC or the UK and then the post would have had some relevence.

How many send or have sent ?
teelack replied to Parkwahn's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I have found this thread to be of real interest. One thing that I have not really noticed is that I am sure that there is a class/sort/type of guy who is quite happy to send money knowing that there may be or even is other guys in the wings. Rather than call it sponsorship, lets just call it a gift. On that basis I see no issue or problem and if it gets the sender some preference or karma, then good on them. -
Thanks as that at last makes sense but can I suggest because your here that you advise people first rather than being pulled up on it. It only take a minute. I do however give you a wave for doing the right thing.

If you were not so relentlessly negative about people posts perhaps I would bother with your comments. But (yawn ) its not worth my time.

At least I was trying to offer some real advice to boardies. The question of where to get a decent hair cut comes up on a regular basis. When I did discover a place that not only did a good job, was well located and where you could also get a massage I felt that this was newsworthy. To just tell people that they are LDOP's for spending so much for a haircut is just your normal thread knocking presumably because your bored. I try to be positive but if you want too only offer negative comments then I guess its your right but it hardly adds much to the thread.
-
......and if you want a 60 baht haircut no one is stopping you and in fact no one really cares.
-
Thanks all for the comments. Whilst it is clear that the place has had a makeover it seems also clear that the management and staff leave a lot to be desired and I will not risk my holiday staying there. The place that I have in mind will cost me 250 a day more but its tried and tested and I know that I will not be disapointed.

Shame that there isnt a real estate page on Pattaya Talk and it could have been of interest!

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Your right for once, WTF!

Thanks for the comments re the food however it was really the rooms and pool I was interested in. Seems to me that all rooms are the same size and fromnt the pool. Are there enough loungers? Are the rooms clean? Is the staff good value?

Hi there guys. I realise that there is some comment re this place on another thread for the AA Hotel. I would however like some feed back about this place as it looks interesting and I was thinking about it for the next trip. Sadly the reviews on Tripadvisor are too mixed to be of value. From excellent to total crap. Any thoughts? http://www.thehaven-hotel.com/rooms.php Thanks

In my case there was no discussion or argument. The whole thing was fixesd almost immediately. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say that it was possibly a genuine mistake.

Pictures of Ron's(bushcraft) Birthday Party
teelack replied to THE DRUNKEN DUCK's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
Hi there Ron. It looked a great do and that half the Cherry Bar turned up. In fact there was some of the Pattaya royalty there as well by the look of it. My birthday one day before was about 1% as interesting! -
Jacko, without trying to hi-jack the thread, you bring up a good point. I also sent my tab back to them for some crazy price that they had put on it. I guess this is a warning to all members to keep vigilant there (and I am sure other places.)

Nev-Steve. Well done for stirring people up. We need issues like this to get us going. I hope that you are also keeping an eye on the other threads here concerning X Zone. A couple of points. Re this statement. Lady drinks at 140 is not expensive if you think it is then never come to KL as you will pay 250 baht per drink. It seems I will never please all but then I did not expect too. Those that think prices are high should read the the sign on the wall accross the way from Xzone to see what key money costs plus rent then staff. When did Pattaya becomea Muslim country with a sin tax? Silly analogy. I am sure that the Norwegians pay more for their drinks so why not mention Oslo while you are about it. As a general rule telling people that they are cheap (when they are patently not) is really no way to run a business. All you have managed to do is to tell us all that you are 100% right in all that you say and do and that "WE" are 100% wrong. One other thing that I believe that you will also be aware of by now and that is that the X Zone tends to be a place that takes off later in the evening. In fact happy hours etc will have little impact with most of the serious punters. I still think that your general attitude towards your clientelle needs a tidy up and perhaps the odd confession that you are not infallible would gain you a few friends even.

XZone forum special promotion
teelack replied to steve-pattaya's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
Hi there again Nev/Steve Frostie has said it all. I usually drink draught because it likes me more than fizzy/higher alc. ales but I am 100% on side with those that say that you are cutting your thoats by pricing yourself out of the game. What you seem to fail to appreciate is that people like me put a hell of a lot of money across the bar with bar fines and 1000 baht plus tabs on a regular basis. In addition dbar crawls can deliver up to say 30 mongers at a time. In addition to that we also are savvy enough to know that the Internet can be very influential in this day and age and it will make or break a business. If you dont believe me take a leaf out of the PBG's book. This is a difficult place for many to find but it sold itself a to a great degree on the net. It just goes from strength to strength. No bar fines here and a SML is about 75 baht. The PBG not only has to get the prices right but they also know that of the up to 1000 meals a day that if they sell one that makes someone ill it could be a disaster because the net is so powerful. Despite all of this it just keeps growing because it knows how to look after its customers. Look in the mirror Nev-Steve and ask the same question of yourself. -

As recently stated on another thread your new prices are over the top and until you address these I for one will not be returning. -
Just thought that I would share this with you. I decided that I needed to tidy up the hair and looked around for a place that I felt would be "Farang Friendly." I did stumble onto a hairdresser and I am happy to share with you. There is an arcade at the Queen Pattaya Hotel. This is Opposite Tops Supermarket in Pattaya Klang. There are a couple of shops at the rear of the arcade and this is where they are situated. I felt that the lady hairdresser gave me a good cut for 200 baht. I know that there is cheaper but I was satisfied. I noticed a curtained off area at the back of the shop and this is the massage area. She asked me if I wanted one. Why not, she's a pleasant lady. She is good at what she does and the door is locked till its all over. It was a straight massage but you never know as I didnt ask for extras. The place is clean and spacious and she tells me that she is looking for a boyfriend (now there's a challenge!)

Nev, Nev Nev! dont get greedy. The tab on the other hand... was very high. 150 baht for San Mig Light, and 130 baht for tiger This is over the top and you need a re-think ---IMHO!

It totally fits with the thread when you go for a wander around the Arab area of Pattaya. Have you noticed those pious Arabs all with bottles of booze on the tables? Have you noted them with the Pattaya bar girls? Its OK for the men to flout the code but not for the women. I usually walk through Covent Garden each night and then through the drumming plaza. I once was silly enough to point a camera at the area and was quickly told that it was a no no. Go to Walking Street and every other tourist has a camera out but point it on an Arab as he is breaking the sharia law and you are risking life and limb. I am not anti anybody other than anti hypocrites and there are a lot of them in Pattaya but I have to put the Arabs at the top of the list.
