  1. As far as go go bars are concerned I wouldnt even bother other than the Champagne. I personally have never been into a good afternoon go go other than this one. For a cheap dring as well as a POSSIBLE bj, the Candy Bar in Soi LK is now reopened with 2 beers for 80 baht.
  2. I think you did quite well considering that the location is good and that you have use of both the pool and the gym at the LK. I have indeed heard of some who dropped in and partook of the breakfast next door as well. There is a caveat to this and that is that the smaller rooms are indeed small and I believe that only the room you had or similar would be worth considering.
  3. Its always sad to see an institution go out of buiness however I am like some of the others here and never got into it. Isnt it strange how we can feel at home in some places and not in others. I have no idea why this is but it has never been on my list of must do and see placs in Pattaya. Whatever, best wishes to the management for their future ventures.
  4. I will admit to actually liking this place. Some two or three years ago I partook of the 'cabaret' in the middle of the room but havent one so since that time. I have in fact met some really nice ladies there and barfined a number of them. There have been a number of ladies that just dance there and dont do the raunchy stuff. There have in fat been a few that dont barfine at all. Best of luck with this place.
  5. Totally agree except that they do this through choice and not because they are repressed or second class citizens. Also the local councils could rule tomorrow that you must wear a shirt and it could be enforced but they coule not bring in a law saying that face coverings have to be done away with. This would lead to violence almost immediately.
  6. I think I saw an advert for them and that drinks started at 300 baht. I went to have a look but realised that this was just another of those Russian places like the Polo and Windmill so gave it a big big miss.
  7. I note that the first response for some is to play the Muslim card. For me its all about women being kept in their place which is at the bottom of the heap, irrespective of what some publicity would like you to believe. I just totally hate these things call them burka, chador or hijab. They are just monsterous and I hope that the idiots that bring their ladies here in them suffer from what they have them to put up with. I am sure that these religeous zealots are thrilled with what they see in Pattaya. I also hope that they go home and tell the rest of the zealots to give Pattaya a miss.
  8. Thanks for the update. I usually stay at the Sabai Inn but avoided it last month and moved to the Sabai Resort. I was worried about the noise but I have to report that the Resort was fine and I would stay there again. Low season rate via Internet was 1050 baht for superior room which is not as superior as that in the Sabai Inn so I will be moving back.
  9. They were using it in June as a centre for functions for the entire Sabai staffs. I make the assumption that they must run into the hundreds now as they are way and above any other hoteliers in the area. Perhaps that is what they intend to use it for.
  10. I always look out for interesting signs and names when I travel and thought that I would share these two. The first one is IMHO quite bizzare and I am not really sure what they are getting at. I think that this is in the toilet in Eden Massage Pattaya Klang. The other is in either soi 4 or 5. Any more interesting exhibits?
  11. I really used to like the bars in Soi 2 and have had some great nights there. I also like to use the Sabai Inn but what with the building and the closures I have moved on for the time being. I tried for one picture that represented the changes and I hope that the following tells you the state of the Soi.
  12. Sorry not to make it. Have to say, Rick always comes over and says hi and thats not so common in Pattaya. Greetings Rick.
  13. Have to give the following plugs. The Office at 10.00PM has one of the best erotic shows in town and some great looking ladies. Kiss has some great rock and roll music (but little else) Sugar Sugar has some nice ladies, good draught ale but very little else. Champagne has rotten AC system and fills up with smoke. Yuk.
  14. My tip for you is this. 1. Have Thai phone number and mobile. 2. Print business cards with your name and number. 3. Hand them out whenever you see someone you fancy. Persistence is all!
  15. Best wishes to Ron and a happy birthday. We will both be celebrating our bithdays same night but 10000 kilometers apart!
  16. I would just like to say that when the kitchen was closed this was a real downer as I start most nights from the PBG. Dont do it again Pete!!! I was there last night with some locals and we had a mix of Euro and Thai food and it was appreciated by all. The cost increases have been modest but I still wont be buying any bottles of wine as Thai prices seem very high. Just as important to me is that the quality of the people there are as usual great and I have to pick out for special praise Ae and Landuen. Welcome back to being an integral part of the Pattaya scene.
  17. AS usual I will be trying my best to get there.
  18. Thanks team for another great time in Sin City.
  19. Sorry Adam but I had already booked to be out of town for the big day. I get back the following day! Happy birthday.
  20. The days of pictures from BC is gone due to a dickhead having a heap of them shown on one of the social network sights. Just bloody sad.
  21. Thanks all for yet another great BC crawl. It just gets better!
  22. This is neither a usual hangout for me or a favourite but hey, all things change and I dont hold any grudges so I will sure as hell drop in and say hi.
  23. Kiss has another place at the top of second road near the dolphin roundabout. I have found the food here quite good and a great place to have breakfast if your staying in that part of Pattaya.
  24. Sorry to have missed it but I will drop round and book a spot for the 13th.
  25. I met a guy last time there who had bought a touch phone at a great price. He had bargained like hell and got it at around the 1000 baht mark. He seemed moderately happy but I am not as smart as one of these phones and wonder what others think. Are they good value? Can they be relied on when outside of Thailand? Are they just a heap of crap awaiting a mug to buy one? What sort of prices are being paid?
