I realize this is Ancient, but was the best Map of The Six I could find via gOOgle. What was the name of the bar with the gals in plaid skirts? I believe it was on the South side of the street about halfway down.

CaddyShack also a bar in that vortex where East Pattaya almost becomes joined with The Dark Side

This seems like activity that could get one banged up, & it would be even easier to get nicked by the Bobby if you do not know where you're heading & are asking about. I remember being loose with the rules in a middle Eastern country & we ended up getting a little in the shit for being drunk in public, just for trying to get a cab.

Get into the lounge & sample the local cuisine. Get some sleep.

I lived in L.A. for a while & spent a lot of time in Hollywood, but ironically the closest filming to me was in Virginia Beach when they made Navy S.E.A.L.s with Charlie Sheen. Some people I knew were extras, walking on the sidewalk when Charlie goes into a building on the beachfront road. Charlie also tried to hang out in the S.E.A.L. watering holes, but they gave him the cold shoulder.

A former coworker of mine, from long ago, has recently contacted me to get my take on jumping ship & moving to The Land of Smiles. I wanted to tell him the Hey Days are over, but I tried to be encouraging. He is looking at it like a horny sailor getting a port liberty, but I am unsure of how to persuade him to think more objectively. Private Dancer was my last suggestion, which I think all newbs should read, before even getting their first tourist visa.

I remember being in a Catch-22 situation between the bank & Immigration at least once. The bank wanted a Residency permit to open a new account & Immigration needed to see a certain amount of money in a Thai bank to proceed. The bank account I had been using for my wages was not acceptable, but I cannot recall the details now. I think it was at the turn of the Millennium. I thought things had been opening up more, considering the Digital Nomad visa is a thing. I have known a handful of guys who would have qualified for that back in the '90s.

There are far too many vloggers out there encouraging everyone to move to The Land of Smiles, & it has gotten out of hand. Thais are normally quite laid back on social media, but they will go tooth & nail when one of those eedjits posts something along the lines of "Should I move to Thailand?" They will berate them, commenting that they have already attracted enough vermin, & that it is ruining the Kingdom.

The Wraith is what Carlos Estevez was doing while his brother Emilio was making Repo Man.

I really enjoy Shabu Shabu, it is such a convenient way for a lot of people to enjoy. Swish-Swish it basically what it means, the act of swishing the ingredients around in the boiling broth, & how they fed the soldiers in the field during the Feudal times of the Samurai & Shōgun. I actually attended a Shabu-Shabu party in Sri-Racha, the host was a Japanese man who had just bought a home. or perhaps just bought a home for his wife 😃 Ruen Thai is great, too!

Do you need to go to the office where you're residing? because I've found the office in Sriracha city is a dream

What I used to enjoy is when they tell you that you need document-A. So you spent a while futzing around getting document-A to them, they review some more & tell you that now they need document-Z. It is difficult to get them to review past the requirement of document-A, because they assume you'll just give up. -
it's not just the Thai gals:
