  3. Hub's right on with this but with United you have to ask the reservation agent to check the partner airlines.
  4. Personally I consider the beer garden a beach bar and have no problems with no shirts, no shoes policy and no I have no plans on exposing my chest and six pack that's moved down and on into a keg anytime soon.
  5. I'm sorry joe, I didn't realize asking you where these twelve restaurants are would cause you to get nasty.
  6. Be careful at the Tequila Reef, I'd ordered and sent back a few t-bone steaks that were mostly gristle. No hassle having them replaced but still a hassle. The replacements were good. I've eaten at Sizzler a few times because my daughter lub's the food there. IMHO the steak is mediocre but cheap and that's all it has going for it.
  7. Where are the other seven?
  8. OK you listed five what about the other seven?
  9. Some times 'tea money' discreetly offered can smooth the bureauocratic jungle. I'd head to the expat bars in Jomtiem and see if anyone is available at the immigration office. Years ago when the office was in Pattaya the women who operated the 7/11 type store in the alley leading to the office was married to the head of immigration and for a reasonable price could provide any visa you wanted. She came highly recommended by a number of old Asia hands.
  10. Saigon, Vietnam, 1972, $5USD LT.
  11. Check out the Twin Towers Hotel. Good three star hotel away from the nite life but close to the Sky-Train.

  15. I prefer to get to the airport 10 minutes earlier then I have to just to avoid what your going through. Live and learn.
  16. I'm glad to hear your back in business. Jan is a safe driver and the vehicle is in good shape. I plan on using you next February.
  17. When I stay at a hotel and I arrive early in the morning, I pay for the day before I arrive. This way my rooms ready no matter what time I arrive. BTW I don't have to do this in Pattaya as I'm a regular customer at the place I stay.
  18. Last night, I ate dinner at the PB with a Thai women. She ordered the snapper soup that was superb. I'm not a snapper fan but even I enjoyed it. I ordered my old standby, fish & chip. Fish was well prepared and not over cooked. BTW the beer was cold and my date enjoyed the red wine.
  19. If I'm paying with your money, no problem. If I'm paying with mine, I expect good quality.
  20. EVERETT, Wash., Sept. 27, 2008 -- Boeing [NYSE:BA] successfully completed a high-pressure test, known as "high blow," on the 787 Dreamliner static test airframe at its Everett factory today. The test is one of three static tests that must be cleared prior to first flight. During the test, the airframe reached an internal pressure of 150 percent of the maximum levels expected to be seen in service - 14.9 lbs. per square inch (1.05 kilograms per centimeter) gauge (psig). It took nearly two hours to complete the test, as pressure was slowly increased to ensure the integrity of the airplane. "We had every confidence going into this test because of the extensive work we've done on larger and larger pieces of composite - from small coupons to fuselage sections," said Pat Shanahan, vice president and general manager of the 787 program. "Still, it's very rewarding to see a whole airplane being tested and having the results we expected. "I am so proud of the team that has worked on this program and the progress we are making." Will we see a news release on the "low blow" test conducted by Boeing Engineer's on soi 6.
