As with many things that go on in Pattaya it's up to you to try out Gregg's Kitchen. The foods OK but way over priced for what you get.

Pattaya Hotels Make Unique Services
BigDUSA replied to solix's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Pattaya offers many high quality hotels/guest houses at a variety of price points. Price of accommodation is very reasonable. -
I ordered a pizza and it was terrible. Undercooked, lame sauce and the cheese was indescribable. He wasn't there that night so when I saw him at Sky-Top, I talked to him privately about it. At this time I had no problem with him and he told me he'd personally cook me a replacement pizza. When I saw him at the restaurant the next day, I asked him if the pizza would be free since I already paid for one. At this point he got very nasty and threatened to hit me. I said if I offended him, I'd apologize but he just got angrier. I backed off and walked away.

Sky-Top offers FREE in room wired internet. I have no need for a internet café. BTW thanks for telling me how to spend my time in Pattaya since you no longer can afford to come here. -
New Pizzas at the Pattaya Beer Garden
BigDUSA replied to PattayaPete's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
I tried the pepperoni pizza yesterday and I would consider it mediocre at best. First the pizza was overcooked. The bottom of the pizza was stiff as a board. Lack of pizza sauce and the quality of the cheese leaves a lot to be desired. Pepperoni was fine. Two spices that add to the culinary experience, oregano and red pepper should be served along side the pizza. -
Why didn't you call over the manager and make a compliant right then and there? I've sent back food that wasn't edible and had them replace it. BTW I'm not referring to this restaurant. The only restaurant where I had a problem was at Gregg's Kitchen where Gregg the owner went mental when I complained.

One of my many talents is the ability to afford frequent trips to Pattaya. I'm in town now and heading over to Pattaya Pete's bar for a late lunch and a few beers. If your dead set on recommending me for a Nobel Prize as well you should, I suggest the Nobel Prize for Economics's as I've more money then you. -

OK, I'll bite. What's the BIG difference? PP, I conducted a recon the other night and found the bar to have a more then decent selection of FL. BTW my beer was very cold and the fish chip excellent. Food was delivered from the kitchen quickly. -

I'll be in next week to help you out with the girls. Once they found out you left that's when they started coming around. -
Most likely the roaches are coming from the other rooms. For any reasonable chance of success the hotel management has to spray the entire building. Then come back in two weeks and do it again.

One reason Boeing may have pushed for a strike and I could be wrong on this. If they have a strike they may have written into the contracts for commercial airplanes an automatic extension of delivery dates. Years ago General Electric had many factories in the Philadelphia area and if they had a strike they would receive a 6 month extension on their contracts. GE would become a SOB to work for and push the union into calling a strike and once they were out for a week the company would relent and restore all benefits and GE would make up the lost wages by having the employees work overtime. 8 days till wheels UP.................... -
I use my lap top in a number of hotel rooms, cruise ships, airline clubs, etc and I may have confused what connection I used in Sky-top last December because of all the different places I travel to. I can state that last May my room at Sky-Top was hard wired ethernet connection. I edited my OP to reflect the change from December to my stay in May.
-
Interesting you go back through my post's, Jack Corbett and God only knows who else in regards to Sky-Top. I stayed at Sky-Top last May and the room I was in had hard wired in room internet. I was told by the owner, he installed wi-fi. Beats the hell out of me why it was removed and since I'm a customer not a partner, owner. I could care less why it was removed. I would suspect they experienced signal strength problems that the owner was unable to resolve.

Here we go again. Guy asks a question................................ Sky-Top has in room wired internet connection. I used it last May and found it to be OK. Speed was not as fast as my broadband connection at home put it was fast enough. I'd consider the reliability to be good but when the IP provider goes down well TIT. Outages seem to be short lived but when it would go down, I'd go off and do something else. Sky-Top is a small clean guest house located on 2nd Road near soi 6. It offers AC, fridge, cable TV and in room safe plus the wired internet. On site laundry with same day service. In room internet is free. Ethernet cable is provided and it's long.. Price goes from $14USD per night and up. I think it's good value for the baht. Long term discounts are available. I edited the month I stayed at Sky-Top from December to May. I used my laptop last December but I don't remember what connection I used. It could have been wi-fi or ethernet. When I returned in May it was definitely ethernet. www.skytopcenterpattaya.com 11 days until wheels UP.................

I didn't know they were back in business. I've used their service a few times and was very pleased with how safe a driver Jan is. A few cold ones are always welcome. 11 days till wheels UP.......................

Cost of laying Fiber per mile in Thailand
BigDUSA replied to frostfire's topic in Technical problems or questions.
No worries that won't stop CheshireTom from replying especially when he's clueless. If cost isn't a consideration what about a satellite hook up with a company based in BKK or S'pore?
