  1. Jack, The two or three tank water filter I recommended to you when we were in Carrfour will take care of your needs as long as you change out the filters twice a year. These units work well and are cheap and efficient. We used water filters that were similar when I was stationed in Vietnam with the US Army and not once did a water quality test come back positive during the time I did the testing. I use these filters at home in the US and will use them when we move to LOS in the near future. Sgt BigDUSA Preventive Medicine Branch US Army Medical Corps

  3. I just spent 17 days at Sky-Top and was more then pleased with the new location. Rooms totally renovated with new bathroom/shower combo, fresh paint. The rooms carry over the 20"TV, fridge, in room safe. Still guest friendly with reasonable rates. High speed internet café, one baht per minute. www.skytoppattaya.com

  6. There's an over supply of rentals in Pattaya. Just because your quoted a price doesn't mean you can't negotiate down and then ask about paying a year in advance. If you don't find what you like at the price you want to pay put an ad in the Pattaya Mail.

  20. Here in Philly US Airways opened a new terminal and it was CHAOS for days. Baggage took forever to reach the claim area. Expect a looong wait........... BTW travel time is reduced by 30 minutes. I timed it last May around 4AM. I looked at my watch when we passed the new airport exit and 30 minutes later we arrived at the airport.

  22. bizzjet, Good point. I wonder what the career progression expat expect when they take an overseas position with a new company? Do they take this for a short term and add it to their resume or are they looking for a different life style with a major effort placed on the pursuit of pussy?
  23. Very frequently but many guys go thru life looking down at there shoes and never see what's available. Opportunity doesn't just knock on your door. It pounds on it. Guy just has to listen and be willing to weigh the risk and then go for it. Personally I'd be applying for every job opening in my field and see what shakes out. Unfortunately for me there are few jobs in my chosen profession, mattress tester.
