Songkran dates for Pattaya every year are April 13-19 (officially), but sometimes the water throwing starts early on the 12th. Anywhere else in Thailand will have less days of Songkran.

As tallguy said, don't get baht in your home country..when you land, you can change money at the airport...lots of booths and a decent rate that is almost certainly higher than you can get at home.

How was the pesto? It looks a bit sparse, which is one of the complaints i have about the Italian restaurants that serve pesto sauce. Here is how I like it...this is a gnocchi with pesto sauce dish from elsewhere.
