I think that was exactly the point he was making. Prices go up (to whatever the market will tolerate) for no justifiable reason other than the punter is getting more Baht for his GBP, USD, EUR, or whatever. During the recent years where currencies were weak against the baht, prices have gone up. Factors, all denominated in baht, have been higher rents, salaries, taxes on booze, capital expenditure for these new flashy places...lots of internal reasons that have nothing to do with exchange rates. No, his point couldn't be further from mine, but thanks for chiming in. Fatboy, I can't think of any case where prices are affected by the baht exchange rates, at least in the bar business. All expenses are in baht, all income is in baht. Which stronger currencies would this supposed increase be based on? They all move in different ways. The AUD was strong while the USD, GBP, and Euro were lagging. Nah, that theory is pretty much unfounded. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 4

That's not very plausible, and frankly makes no sense. Maths comes from the shortened plural form of the discipline. Math is just a more compact version of the shorthand way of referring to it. In any event, as I said, Americans don't say they study "maths". Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 4

I suspect both variants of the language spell the proper full name the same.

LOL. Well "she" did say she's an American. We don't teach the British variant of the language, thank goodness. Think of the tiny bits of time wasted adding in all those "u"s where they are not needed...and now you have an "e" in a nicely spelled word "story". And, FYI, in America, "maths" is not a subject. It's called 'math".

Where was the spelling error? Incidentally, "she" can't be PMd, because her user group is not Member or above. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 4

No, you're doing fine on your own. I was just voicing my frustration regarding anagrams. I'm quite happy with the quizzes that you come up with. Maybe 3 letter anagrams would build my confidence up! Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 4 -

That's not likely to work.Google translate is really not very good at long sentences, much less entire documents. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 4

Had mine in America. Very short and painless doctor visit, over before I knew it. Then the local wore off, and I wasn't as cheerful about it. I don't remember the recovery time.not too long. As for Thailand, you can get one free by cheating on a jealous girlfriend No, I don't know the cost. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 4

I've noticed that some BMs just don't understand the American sense of humor. Evil Yes, some take things so literally and don't understand what they call a piss take Ok, enough of this playing. Mea culpa. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 4 -

It is equal to the volume of LDOPs needed to drive up prices and ruin the scene for everyone. Evil I think maybe sinbinjack just doesn't read very well. So, Jack, how much alcohol is in "110% proof"? Btw, it was a joke, so you can lose that "as a barowner, surely" crap. Don't bother to answer anyway, the thread's getting derailed enough, and I'm guessing you've finally caught on. If not, send me a PM. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 4 -
NongJai 1, Thai & European Restaurant on 2nd Road
MM replied to Evil Penevil's topic in Restaurants and food
I've always passed this place by because it seemed full of farang diners whenever I have gone there. I go down to the restaurant on the right side (heading from 2nd Road), just before the market. I've always had a good meal there, but it's been a few years. I'm a fan of that restaurant's goong pad nam phrik pao (web image follows) -

They should never be allowed to put more alcohol in the whiskey than the volume of liquid! How do they do that, anyway? Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 4 -
