  1. Do you have parking for jacko and his friends?
  2. I spoke to a Thai Indian acquaintance about where he would recommend going for a good Indian meal, and he named several places (incidentally Raj E Punjab is owned by the brother of the guy who owned Taj, according to him). His highest recommendation was Spices, on the second floor of the building next to Royal Garden (to the south). He said you could pay to park at Royal Garden, and get a very good meal at Spices. Using the PPG, here is where I think it is.. If you go, let us know how it was.
  3. Might it be Asia Massage?
  4. It's not the same as the place you mentioned when you said How does a 900 baht 90 minute soapy sound to you? Where is that?
  5. Stinko, me boyo, it sounds very high class there! Can you tell us the name of "one of the top Soapies in all of Thailand" in Chonburi? I'd be interested in checking that out.
  6. Good question. I wish I knew. Based on your question, I just sent an email via their contact page to ask. If I get an answer, I will share it with you.
  7. Even though the contents of http://www.pattayaphotoguide.com have not been updated for 2 or 3 years, it's still a fantastic tool. As an example, yesterday, my satellite TV decoder fried itself (well, maybe I helped by stacking some DVD cases over the air vents). The satellite provider is Truevisions, based out of Bangkok, and eponymous website is all Thai, and not helpful for residents of Chonburi province regarding service center location. In fact, on calling them, all they could tell me was that it was on Pattaya Klang I did an internet search for "TRUEVISIONS PATTAYA KLANG" and got lots of hits, but one hit said "they may tell you to go to the ubc shop on pattaya klang facing carrefore". So, I used the pattayaphotoguide to browse the shops across from and near Carrefour, and sure enough, there it was. There is nothing that says "Truevisions", but the old name "UBC" is on the front of the building. I'm sure that's it, and now I know exactly where to go, thanks to the photo and map location. By the way, if you look at the photo, you should see a phone number at the bottom of the right hand window. I think it says 038 426 727, but can't be sure. I called that number and no one answered. It would be even better to call them and find out what their hours of operation are, and if they have a replacement box, but even so, from not having a clue where they were, to knowing exactly where and what to look for, it's a big help. I recommend anyone wanting to see a building, hotel, or bar (as it was 3 years ago), use this great tool to find your way around.
  8. A few years ago, a group of British Indians invited me to lunch at Sher 'E' Punjab, on Beach Road between Soi 10 and Soi 11. The food was very good, and they told me it was one of their favorite Indian restaurants in town. They also mentioned it was a bit pricey, but the quality seemed to justify the price. It is here on the pattayaphotoguide.
  9. Yes, I see the similarity....why are you thinking about them tho? Perhaps I shouldn't ask.
  10. We'll be bringing some bar crawls up there to ruin it for you
  11. I'm only pissed off at you for blocking the path of overtaking vehicles...the rest is fine, but you pull that, and you're on my shit list.
  12. In other words, you act like a cunt.
  13. I've installed it on my nexus one, and everytime I open the application, it downloads a new version of the application (which is the same version as installed). Very strange. Also, many of the apps seem to be old or won't install at all...e.g. Titanium Pro.
  14. But there is still that pesky little visa issue getting a young Thai girl (who works bar) a visa to Canada.
  15. Stocks come and go it seems. But, my updated results are here anyway.
  16. I have to agree. It's pretty fucking funny.
  17. I'm simply amazed at the massive numbers of white couples and single white girls visiting Pattaya these days. They are undoubtedly from the former Soviet states, and have become a larger demographic than any other group at this time...or at least it seems so. Coming in from Jomtien/Pratumnak each night, I see baht bus after baht bus full of these people. They shop, they eat, they listen to music, and they go to places that cater nearly exclusively to them. They are a clean bunch, and they don't seem to be too affected by the "sewer of epic proportions" in Pattaya. In fact, they seem to be quite happy to shop at Central, in the markets, in the food stores. I'm simply amazed at the rapid transformation of Pattaya from a monger's destination to an eastern bloc shopping and seaside holiday "resort". The damned place is getting way too spiffy for my taste.

  19. After reading this thread, I was shopping yesterday, and picked up a bottle of Patron Cafe. It's now available at FLB by the shot. I had a few last night myself. Not bad, especially if you're a coffee drinker.
  20. I'm not sure of the interest rate, but Thais can borrow for a year from a bank, pay back the loan with interest after a year, and then borrow the money again for another year.
  21. Bruiser is having a laugh.

"Cantinflas" don't know his proper name
  23. It's Petey again.
  24. Please don't use all capitals in topic titles. I tend to delete them.
  25. This is not as well-behaved a group as in visits past. I went into a couple of gogos where the servicemen were jumping on the stage...something they should know better than to do. One guy spewed vomit on the front steps of a massage parlor and was arguing with the female proprietor about payment for his 2 foot square mess(she wanted 70b for cleanup). Another guy came into FLB with a girl, ordered a beer and an orange juice for the girl, refused to pay and told the waitress the girl would pay and walked out. The girl refused to pay and we were left with a couple of open drinks. It's a much more unruly crowd this year, IMHO.
