Disturbing from the farang motorbike thread
MM replied to thedodger's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Makes a lot of sense to me to sms a friend or relative after an accident. That's what she was doing. As for being too young to have a licence, yeah that might be an issue. -
The party is tonight...a last minute change...there will be food on too. Also, if you aren't in Thailand, you can watch the party at http://webcam.flbbar.com If you haven't used the webcam site before, you will need to register your email, a password, and a username to get connected to the webcam chat and video. Your pattayatalk id and password are not used for this site, so think of it as a new registration. Whatever you do tonight, wishing you a happy new year.

It should be ok now.

This is very strange. I've not received anything from you. Your email address looks correct. I'll just upgrade you. Forget the email.

I'm still trying to get through the 2008 award winners. I've had no time to see any of the new films, but will gladly use this thread as my downloading guide when I do.
-
Nothing has been received. No minimum required, only accuracy in spelling the email address.
-
When do they expire?

My offer stands. Cattle class, saver award...if available. Can you travel in 2012?
-
That's good to know. I've been pulling up links to PDN via Chrome and there is never any story.

Ring in 2011 at FLB with live music, attentive and attractive staff, champagne and pandemonium at the stroke of midnight. Sawat Di Pi Mai/Happy New Year!

I just love how some of you turn this all onto the OP. You can't criticize the perpetrator, so you go after the victim. His room was burgled by someone. He kept his things in a safe. He's crazy, he's an idiot, he has too much money, he is too successful, he shoulda known better.
-
On the one hand, you say it's CRAZY to keep large sums of cash money in the safes (and large sum to you might, and probably is, quite different from what it is to others), and yet you say you've never had anything go missing. Until they open the safe, how do they know if you have 1M baht or 1K baht? I suppose they just look at the lodgings you choose and the way you dress.

I gave my opinion on the subject as well as on the credibility and basis of your opinion. And, of course, all personal abuse was struck out and modified as shown. Regarding the topic, I hope egget does get some resolution on this, but I doubt anything will come of it unless her fingerprints are on the safe. I'm still inclined to suspect the hotel or a balcony burglary. Someone might take small, valuable items (cash and harddrive), and leave the larger items as being too heavy or bulky carry out. Just because they broke into an empty room, doesn't mean they might not have been in a hurry to get out without being discovered.
-
It's what he had in the safe, and what he thought was safe to keep there. You call it CRAZY, but some people might not. I've kept much more than that in a safe. So, if you want to be throwing words like CRAZY around about other BMs who actually have experience of being here, rather than reading Pattaya newspapers and bullshitting day to day on a Pattaya forum, and who happen to do things differently than you (like live in hotels without movable safes as the Skytop had), then my response is fuck you and the horse you rode in on maybe you should keep your worthless counsel and criticisms to yourself.

Special food spread on tonight as well. Not exactly traditional, but tasty. Anyone who's been to FLB Christmas Eve parties in the past should know what it will be.

I find it hard to believe that she could be so brazen as to noisily break into your safe while you are in the shower, steal your things, close up the damaged safe, continue to stay in your room, and then return to work the following days. If she had done it, it would seem she'd logically fear you're discovering that it was her, and take a "vacation" with 100k baht. I wish you had gotten the hotel security tapes in time, because your absence from the room seems a likely opportunity for a burglary. Let us know the results of the fingerprint check. That's about the best avenue you have at this point.

FLB will be having its annual Christmas Eve Party tomorrow, Dec 24. Come join us for good cheer, cold beer, live music, and free food. The hostesses will be decked out and dressed to the 9's.

I was driving down Soi Buakhao yesterday, checking Oil Massage prices, and the majority of the places where I could read the sign (as I sped by on my motorbike), were 300b for oil massage. I did see a few for 200b. If I were to average the oil massage prices, I'd say the average price was 287b. I do agree with jacko (at least as far as I can ever guess what jacko means), that the person giving the massage is more important than the venue or its facilities.

Yeah, that's what I was talking about. I've done the other sites, and it usually says no flight of that type available...or it's really much higher than Kayak reported.
