I f you wait untill you get to bkk or pattaya at that time of year you will probably be looking at about 100 us to get a room. pattaya is usally full up at that time on the less expensive hotels. the hard rock always has room but they are 100 us and up which is why they have rooms. if you know that you will be there for sure i suggest you book as soon as possible or you will not find a hotel close to walking street for that week, at that price.if you have early flight you may be able to find one by chance, but if you have the standard us flight that always seem to arrive at 24:00 then it will be a bit harder to get a taxi to take you around to find one. so i agree with crakpot book now or you may have to take what you can get. enjoy hank08 it will be fun no matter what [smiley=bonk.gif] [smiley=gulp.gif]

STIRCARZY. the best things to when diving are probably where DENNISM is saying. but you have to time your dive there for certian times of the year also it is quite a bit more exspensive than pattaya for hotels and r&r. pattaya is not the best for vis some time but you can dive it year round. also if your friend is going to take his advanced course then you will not get the best site in samui do to training that is need for cert. if you decide to do it in pattaya i would recomend DAVE CHANNDLER ( www.divingthailand.com) if he is not available i would recomend STEVE BLETHUML ( sorry steve if you see this forgot spelling of last name) MERMAIDS. ( www.mermaiddive.com ). both have excellent staff personal. these 2 shop seem to have the better boats and equipment if you have to rent. both are PADI centers. if you chose one of many shops there make sure they are still PADI certified some that display 5 star padi only have the sticker not the cert. i recieved an e-mail frompenthouse hotel stating they had just opend there new pool. i have stayed there i few times and can guess where they put it. has anyone here been to that pool or know someone that has actually seen it. 68 days and counting [smiley=tits.gif] [smiley=cheers.gif]

just saw some picture's of 2nd road and soi yamato under water. how bad was walking street affect , flb and other places. need to know if i should bring floatation divice or stay on upper room in hotel. ;D could some one tell me what hotels were dry and those that were not. south pattaya was under what about north? ??? 35 days till swiming i guess. :'( due tg's act as life guards in this case? ;D

;D last report was 450 baht for manila inside no windows. that is with out breakfast. ::) same as mike hotel ;D cheers mate 149 days but who is counting. ::) you may beat this price if you are there now less than 40% full at any hotel. :'(

;Djsut to answer the questions. safe boxes are at front desk open to acess at 8:00am to 12:00 am /midnight. the room mention is 550 baht on internet but can be had for less with out breakfast. the last room was at 4000 baht a night. adn i agree with comment why the camp service? but i can guess the girls and hotel thank you for the extra baht. the price of the grils is include in the limo service the girls just got you for a few more baht. that as they say is tit. cheers mate and have a good time ;D 150 days to go but who is counting

;D for now penhouse is only hotel with in room hottub/jacuzzi. a few hotels have them by there outdoor pools but not in there rooms. with all the new hotels going up there mite be in the future . good luck in your search if you find one i missed let me know the jacuzzi is nice after diving all day ,and nite time to .

;D player i suggest you run do not walk away from hotel any hotel where your luggage is bothered. if they get lucky you could lose what is in them. if they want to get even and put contrband in them and then calll police it could be much worse. this has happen in recent drug crack down so beware about it. i do same lock trick and so far have never had problem at any hotel i have stayed at in past 5 years there. ;D hope this help's just common sense to me. enjoy los 8) 158 days to touch down, but who is counting.

;D steve if you want to change tickets there is a good agency at the corner of south road and second road. i use united and they have change flight times with no problem takes about ten minutes UA charges 100 us to change. i also switch time on thia air and it was only 50 us . hope this helps and drink one? for me. 135 days but who is counting. ;D ;D

??? it may be the cell phone or you are limited to land line on your card. my thia gril has same number and i can not call on my cell. land line works but cost is hi. i use computer to call and works great. is her cell 1,2 call or is it orange service. it will make a difference when you call. i use pc phone by paltalk at .16 us a minute. hope this helps. in los 7 months :'(

;D save your money. the champ. is nasty beyond belief. if your flight arrives at midnight or earlier get taxi and you will have time to make it and pick grils of choice. the new expressway had me in pattaya in 1.5 hours. did not arrange taxi last time and cost 2200 baht. suggest you arrange taxi with hotel for best rate. also you should know that you will have to go to taxi stand at left of hall as you enter. it is all the way left and back in some what of a hole. if you have been before contact bar on web and arrange for a guide to pattaya so you do not get lost. ::).

;D the expats club makes a once a month run to cambodia with food and drink include for i think it was 600 baht plus border fees. check there web site. that should answer what you need to know.

??? anyone for limo 17th /18th dec bkk to pattaya.? no place in bkk so have to go late 17th/18th arrive 23:45/24:45 after customs. 1500 baht best fare so far can any one beet it. if UA still flying that is.

:o try penthouse hotel on pattayaland 2 they have hourly rooms(vip). (038) 429639 is phone number. they call them party suites hope to be there in 5 days so will try one out to make sure ;)

;D ;D you mite try the (www.imperialmaeping.com) it at about 2000 baht real nice hotel up scale a bit. not sure of how good breakfast is. they do have better cable tv if you want english channels. or you mite try (www.pronpinghotelchiangmia.com) they have good rooms starting at 1000 baht and up. nice pool and out back parking lot is food courts and night bizzare. good breakfast and laundry service. only draw back if you plan to watch tv i found no english channels last time . that was september hope this helps. los 5 days 8)
