  2. not to burst bubbles here the pleasure of the 777-300er is that the economy seats are 2" smaller pitch is less than 18 degrees leg room is nonexistent i now no why kids cry in car seats although i think car seats have better padding this was sfo to nrt only 9 hours my condolences to you all. almost forgot i had to turn carry on sideways to get down the isle in business class it is 18-14-10 inches
  3. back in USA for holidays visit family. This will take effect July 1 2018. How is the question. The same way they did bank accounts it will only effect those after that date. The USA immigration will notify thailand of those getting citizenship newborns as well. this only effects USA no one else at this time. Friends at immigration here say it has made more thai nationals getting USA citizenship. Still remains if they will seize property or not as none thai citizens cannot own property. We will see come July.
  4. wife's good friend in government inform her that as of jan-1 2017 that immigration at airport is going to start working with USA to check for dual citizenship. They intend to start enforcing the one citizenship Thai or USA. Not sure of other countries but heads up for those who have wives with 2 passports. I am not sure how they can check since my wife never volunteers anything. Only on departure would it be possible as is needed to board US bound flights. This could get sticky for people like my self who owns property thru thai wife as non thai citizens cannot own property. I have seen
  5. are they open past midnight? As i recall i few years back some bars had to close at midnight it was in their license. that only gave them 6 hours to make baht. Think BIB will drop tea money to half? When the miss and kids go north may have to stroll down and see.
  6. One word of warning on this the customs people at all US airport have the right to seize all electronics. Unlock and take any or all info on the. Putting them in check bagage is asking for trouble here for now. It would almost mean a certian stop and search. Not a pleasent experiance at all. They have had this right for at least 6 years was put in by Obamma adminastration. And this is for all countries and people entering US. As i understand this is that it bans them from being brought into the country. which is why some airlines will not let you board. Either way unless you have impotant
  7. Yes i read that article in PM. It did not mention the year
  8. just thinking which is bad. But this project reminds me of the beach road project. The pipes were laid on schedule as contract. There was no contract on new wires or removing old wire. When old wire removed the telephone wires remained different contract. The pole were another contract so 1 year turned into 3. I think there "it will finish in February" is typical. the tunnel is finished It will not mean open for operations. As i am out for another 2 months before back would like to know if it has changed? The tunnel not TIT
  9. United has economy plus seating. more leg room but same seat pitch.
  10. Check with the VFW post there in pattaya. They should be able to help. I am almost sure they have FPO box for mail but not sure packages. Have members that will use APO address at embassy for packages. By mail i mean letters. Welcome to patts.

  12. according to frequent flyer talk there are day room inside terminal 3. but good fare. they now fly out of mci.
  13. Yes that is it. I have "o" visa and did not have return date. The immigration officer did not give one back and i did not check for it I have since found out if there is no confirmed flight out then you have to get one and fill out on departure. It look to me the same as when i arrive so next time in will get two on plane to avoid some on departure. I assumed it would be same on extended visa. This is a bit of topic but may help when you leave. cheers enjoy.
  14. You will need exit ticket when you exit country. I just went thru they can be had at airport when you pass thru passport control. Did not notice so stood in que and had to go back and fill one out. would suggest if you can to get one on plane tell them you made mistake and need another one or they may give you extra. it would save time when you leave. i was lucky i had my own pen to fill it out.
  15. has anyone here tried the hourly hotel in T-3 by gate D-10? it is around 20.00 usd hr. For 720 usd r/t with 9-13 hour layover may try it. that is PEK China Air (mainland) star alliance. that price is from iah July to august
  16. I wonder how many lanes of traffic they intend to put down there? looks like 4 max, but it is Thailand
  17. it was 777/300 3/3/3 seats in eco. standard seat not the new smaller ones. IFE box was small one 2 inches thick on middle isle seat. ac power, in seat back screen. plane from Peking to bkk was 737 overhead tv small seats. it 27 hour total non stop thru Peking. qutar has cheap flights now may try them.
  18. fast track is good idea if you arrive at 0600 or later. my Munich flight on Thai was at gate at 0545 from gate to exit was 30 minutes with no line. when i reached the immigration person i looked back at Que it was out of site down into duty free. never had a wait thru japan arriving at 11.35 on ana 30 mins tops bags waiting. fast track offers golf cart ride also. online booking is required in advance you go thru the diplomatic line.
  19. flew last September with them. Air China that is. 780 us all in. Houston to Peking to bkk. i would compare it to spirit airlines. cheap point to point travel. had 4 hour layover in Peking needed it to clear security and get to gate. had 777 window seat economy. did not have checked bag so can not comment on that. overall not much different form united airlines. (that does not say alot). but 780us or 1478 us. that is a lot of short times or room rent. hope this helps
  20. this just shows how bad the bib need tea money. i exspect it to get worse as low season continues.
  21. that was part of kids day at big c. i believe it was city wide.
  22. That was added to prevent a veto by the president. You got to love pork-barrel politics.
  23. will be flying out of munich in 7 weeks anybody know if they have old 747 or the new with seat back video? that is in economy. old 747 had box under every ailse seat. as posted in other seat guru needs update.
  24. ual burns us again. $785 iah to bkk 1695 miles award actual miles 9695. if you want to pay 14786$ us for bussiness 31000 miles. !st is 19100 us 84000 miles. at least you get the 9695 miles for elite status. with thier sh-t service and flight times i would bet that they have to change. to many non-us airlines with better flight times and service (ant service at all would win) it ties in with thier new aircraft order to airbus. wider and more first class seats and the same with preium economy seats. the aile will shirk from 24 inches to 22 inches. that will help to evacuate if needed. s
  25. this is here in a question way. just had the 380-300 experince from nrt (toyko). it was 3-4-3 config. they had part of the aircraft row 32-64 or close to that shut off from passengers. i am guessing about 200 on board crew and passengers. all had a row to themselves. great for passengers. but how long can they take that money hit. the flights from uk and europe must be full? anyone else had this happen on thia 380?
