check the a/c in the room you get. some of the a/c units do not work too well. the rooms by the small pool have 1 bed not 2 pushed together. the only minus is the remote for the tv. it is mounted to the night stand. 9 weeks till in los again. cheers

try pattaya optical on middle road. it will be on left hand side going away from second road. it has a sign made like glass's. complete service there. i had scuba mask done there as well as glass's. glass frames and auto dark lense's were 3000 baht with exam. mask was 2500 baht. compare to usa very cheap.

[smiley=bonk.gif]yes it is a good value for what you get. have stayed there for the past 5 years on trips. they have just finished pool and it is clean and nice. suggest you get room in back or over lobby for quiet. after 2 am it is very quiet. has good location too. was not impressed by breakfast buffet they give you with room. suggest you have them take the baht off and eat else where. thia airways is at the north end of beach road . it will look like it is part of the hotel wall. as of november they where open 9:00 am to 6:00pm. it is on right side of road just as you turn on beach road. you can also book shuttle here also .enukeman is correct it is the dusit i think.

yes the gold star club has showers no cost. i contact UA red carpet club and they confrimed this . however they did not know what was furnished as far as soap, towels ,etc. they also have day rooms no charge for members. i will find out in january what is furnish. after 7 trips thru i just now asked and found out. elite status is nice when you have it. if you fly businees or frist class on UA you also have the same privelge. just show your ticket. 8) ;D

try the pornping hotel. rite next to night bazzar/food court. they have very good breakfast and taxi service from airport for 30 baht. good rooms in front and better in the new tower. high season rates i belive are around 900 baht front and 1200 tower. good pool clean. the only draw back i found was no english speaking channels on the televsion. i was not in room enough to worry about it .

yes the pool is open and very nice. it is totally enclosed and has deep end . it over most thai heads so if late and drinking be careful as no one over see's the pool area. it is located at the old sports bar that was kittens outside club.it is new and no p in pool still clean. ;D if you go to chaing mia there are resorts in town and outside town it would depend on what your plans are. i have stayed at pron ping tower it is central to about everything. night bazzar is right out the parking lot. try www.sawadee.com for list of everthing have seen some of the resort tpye bungalow's but have not stay at one yet. all seem to be nice on the outside and quiet. if frist time to chaing mis suggest you work sunday in trip have allday street festival. hope this helps some [smiley=cheers.gif] [smiley=grins-jump.gif] 18 days to los

FLASH they do have that service but save your money. not worth even if you have midnight flight still lots of ladys around to choose from. i have done walk up for room before at times. in peak season you will get room over kitten club / cats.. you will find that the less exspensive rooms will be gone also. haver stay there 2 time for x-mas and new years full both times. enjoy trip and have fun. 25 days and counting.
