last time thru narita in october this year. ana in bkk would not give me boarding pass all the way to houston. i had to spend 2 hours getting them at the bottom of the esclators united service desk. barely made flight. i had no checked bags. people in line said thier bags got checked thru no boarding pass though. when i used thia airlines they check bags thru and all boarding pass thru. maybe one time clitch but alot of people were not happy. oh well now i have cheaper option.

Just had a friend tell me that now when you fly united code share from bkk to usa that you have to go to ticket counter in nrt. it took them almost 2hrs to do it and almost missed flight. has anyone one else had this happen? the trip was booked on united web site. if true then time to use miles and fly thru uk or germany.

checked thru london hr from plane door to gate in 45 mins. that was from treminal 2 to 3. terminal 3 has showers and day rooms and public lounge. easy access to them inside security close to gates. shower was 15 usd. acces to everthig (lounge,shower,dayroom) was L60. unknow exchage rate at the time use cc all security gates to t-3 were open and checking at 0700 am. the bus tranfer to t-3 from t-2 was well marked and easy to do. as stated in previous psot just fllow purple signs. or the herd of people. cheers its 0800pm in usa time to drink.

I have to agree that it is time to burn miles up. just as well to fly cheap from west coast. only 25k round trip to there and at least asia base air lines give better in flight service. will be carry-on here on out. can have it clean cheap there.

if you can get flights for 1300 us. book or roll dice. if obama will not let the wells in the gulf start pumping then prices will go up even more. as far as saver awards on ua only luck i every had was calling and almost always was given seats on other star alliance carriers. gas in midwest is 3.00 us a gal. i know to the rest of the world that is cheap but for here it is 1.00 higher. cheers wheels up in sept.

:D just check flight status for ua flight to nrt. cancelled. same for the ua flight from nrt to bkk cancelled. ua office bruned to ground so it is closed. check with other mates flying other airlines also cancelled to nrt. i know they sealed the land borders. some confusion here. anyone heard anything on this?

normally it is twice the price for 1 day departures. just checked united (mci-bkk)956. us. fly out in 20 hours on may 10. return may 19. seat maps shohw plenty of empty seats. i have family in los say it is not as bad as tv. just nomal in pattaya HOT!HOT!HOT!. i guess fear of flu and unrest are good for the flyers. cath the boss at home and it is wheels up in 20hours.

If you have already book the flight my condolecs. as a star alliance gold exc member i get eco plus seats. eco plus makes the 15+ hour flight bareable. when they use 777 with seat back movies and free drinks for everyone it was ok. last time thur it was older 747 eco plus.one movie for all and pay for alcoholic drinks. they accepted credit cards and debit cards only. NO CASH. if you use credit card to buy ticket then they will charge it for you even if you do not have it on you. bussines class and frist class are the same outstanding service and good food. all drinks free etc. sfo and lax still use 747 also. do not know if you go thru sea/tec. do not know about baggage charge for international flights as gold member i still get 3 bags at 70lbs free. airline food same as always in eco class. hope this helps. p. s. sorry for spelling the spell check is not working.

I was just thru there 3 weeks ago. Still there both of them.(www.airgardenhotel.com)).. tel-82-32-743-3000 fax82-32-743-3001. still very clean and quiet. makes it nice to get to bkk fresh. i am not sure of rates per hour. it was around 65.00 us for 5 hours. buy your beer outside and take in if you drink. the mini bar is mini bar price. cheers and hope this helps
