have been looking at airfare in december mci-ord-bkk. 1400 us. up 550 from last year. i look for same only thru europe last year 2500 us this year 1950, 550 less than last year. is fuel cheaper now going east instead of west? or could it be they want to stick us both ways. just seems odd that it would be less east than west as it has always been the oppisite.

this has been up before. try t.q. reef soi 7. tryfishing park 3rd road. cable has it live at midnight or 7 in morning. a place in jontiem beach road has it too. not sure of name. most hotels if they have cable will have it on (star) or us gov chanel. i am only to watch it here for now . that is ok 6 months then it will be better. . soccer number 1. . hope this helps.

i just got my fiancee back to kc last month. it is cheaper to book round trip if you use a us airline. if not try to book over there 1 way as they have cheaper rates by about 100-200 dollars. also when you get back here to do here i-485 packet i suggest you invest in legal help. i did all the paper work to get her here my self. but this packet is completely off the wall. try for 5 weeks to get it right . they also make you make an appointment to see the visa people here just to ask aquestion. the legal people i talk to on the phone said 6 months for everything. not 2 years like verywhere el

cahty has there bkk special on again. 636 us . form sfo /lax to bkk. travel has to be between sept. 5 and oct. 30. just in time for the low season? 68 days until wheels up jfk is higher i think it was 796 us ? i already commited miles on starallince flights. :crying

check the a/c in the room you get. some of the a/c units do not work too well. the rooms by the small pool have 1 bed not 2 pushed together. the only minus is the remote for the tv. it is mounted to the night stand. 9 weeks till in los again. cheers

try pattaya optical on middle road. it will be on left hand side going away from second road. it has a sign made like glass's. complete service there. i had scuba mask done there as well as glass's. glass frames and auto dark lense's were 3000 baht with exam. mask was 2500 baht. compare to usa very cheap.

[smiley=bonk.gif]yes it is a good value for what you get. have stayed there for the past 5 years on trips. they have just finished pool and it is clean and nice. suggest you get room in back or over lobby for quiet. after 2 am it is very quiet. has good location too. was not impressed by breakfast buffet they give you with room. suggest you have them take the baht off and eat else where. thia airways is at the north end of beach road . it will look like it is part of the hotel wall. as of november they where open 9:00 am to 6:00pm. it is on right side of road just as you turn on beach road. you can also book shuttle here also .enukeman is correct it is the dusit i think.

[smiley=fingers.gif] UA miles as always hard to get UA just added 80% to fare's. still able to get sfo to bkk for 733.45 online at UA. went to travel agent for trip there. able to get long way around on UA for 2035 miles on landing at sfo. add that makes 10,032 miles in class v. yes the gold star club has showers no cost. i contact UA red carpet club and they confrimed this . however they did not know what was furnished as far as soap, towels ,etc. they also have day rooms no charge for members. i will find out in january what is furnish. after 7 trips thru i just now asked and found out. elite status is nice when you have it. if you fly businees or frist class on UA you also have the same privelge. just show your ticket. 8) ;D

try the pornping hotel. rite next to night bazzar/food court. they have very good breakfast and taxi service from airport for 30 baht. good rooms in front and better in the new tower. high season rates i belive are around 900 baht front and 1200 tower. good pool clean. the only draw back i found was no english speaking channels on the televsion. i was not in room enough to worry about it .
