back in the usa. thanks for the info. it's the same lax as mentioned you have to clear customs and recheck bags as most airports after international flights. one difference is no ground transport you have to walk so if you are on united wear trackshoes if only 2 hours to catch flight. if i had not had checked bags there would have been no problem. i made flight as they were closeing door. advice to those connecting in lax. if you have to check-in on different airlines(you do not have boarding pass) i suggest you allow 4 hours to connect. cheers only 247 days to wheels up.

i have not flown out of or into lax for over 20 years. this trip was cheap enough to go thru lax both ways. research shows no problem on outbound. flying united same terminal 1245-891. on return to lax have 2 hours to catch flight. do they have bus to ua terminals? reason is due to map they are at opposite ends. any info or help is appreciated. 2 days to wheels up.

i think we should get use to the surcharges. i just got a special from ANA 680 round trip midwest usa to bkk. then i saw total price 650 us in taxes an surcharges. makes me happy that i booked early for cheap

at the old airport late time arrival 10:35PM ANA. 11:40pm UA . immagration was usally quick to get thru. how is the new one at this time? same question about geting a taxi at airport. i have read lots of info about daytime but very little on late times. i have to assume that there are not as many people having a picnic on the side of the road at that time. which should lead to quicker time to pattaya. 4 WEEKS TILL WHEELS UP

is it as good as the club at naitra? this is off topic but will ask if you had late UA arrival time 11:40 pm. is the airport taxi better that late. or is it bad from ramp to door that late? at least we have a club now.

i could only get the dates and hotel on line. when i went to check flights it would not continue on. that is when i finnly called them. so much for online bonus miles. the fax number that work is 1-626-570-9947. the s.d. hotel was the cheapest. about 20 min for sky train. hope this helps

Just used ua new asia vactions. airfare and hotel 5 nights min. you can split the days over your trip. also includes airpot transfers.1278 total us. the cheapest airfare i could find was 1485 us form mci to bkk. had to call the toll free number to get it. who is picking up the difference? 3 days advance purchase and good thru march 2007. use code BKK07 to get the deal.

have just checked prices of hotels in bkk. low season is as high as high season. has been 2 years since i have stay in hotel in bkk as i have place in pattaya now. had hoped to stay over for 1 night but cost puts it out of question this time. 30% increase in cost . has pattaya gone the same way too? 4 weeks tilll wheels up.

i just got airfare for united airlines going thur sfo on 8 may and coming back 22 may for 871 dollars. jfk/sfo/bkk/sfo/jfk. tracelocity web site. had to specify united. do not know how long it will last it is 10 april 9:53. hope this helps. do not know about other dates.

it is hard to find open dates for those sales. but are very good prices when you do find one. just booked the wife back to bkk to pay taxes and other items for 912.00 us mci to bkk. also get double miles for trip and she will get gold staus for the trip on a promo. if the price gets lower i may have to call in sick for a few weeks. cheers and thanks for the heads up on that.

i will being using cal this trip going thur lax. how long is it to go thru customs and how do you get from one terminal to the next. are there buses that go around. the maps and info i find on the internet do not specify. any help appericated.

i know how you feel. i went thru this with united when they were in trouble. the only way i could use miles on short notice was to the west coast. then it was code share the rest of the way. now i try that way all the time it is better to get to bkk at 11.00 am as compared to 11:00 pm. i suggest you call them and not try on line. ask them for late take off on the west cost code share. most asian airlines have late take off times that are not usally full. good luck . 6 weeks and counting.

i have talk to some pilot friends lately. they do not know if the new airport will retain the bkk code or have a new one. has anyone here heard anything on the code? i would hate to think i am getting taxi for bkk and have it go to bangkok. if they do not have new code maybe we could vote one in. only 3 letters so BBBJ is not to be used . but on a serious note any info would be nice. chockdee kap.4 months, then fun time. cheers

(osaka) airport. the only cheap staralliance flights i can find are thru there. i am gold for this trip need to know if showers are in lounge. would also like to know if there are public showers also. what they cost also. cheap being 1300 us on ua. cheers and thanks.

have been looking at airfare in december mci-ord-bkk. 1400 us. up 550 from last year. i look for same only thru europe last year 2500 us this year 1950, 550 less than last year. is fuel cheaper now going east instead of west? or could it be they want to stick us both ways. just seems odd that it would be less east than west as it has always been the oppisite.

this has been up before. try t.q. reef soi 7. tryfishing park 3rd road. cable has it live at midnight or 7 in morning. a place in jontiem beach road has it too. not sure of name. most hotels if they have cable will have it on (star) or us gov chanel. i am only to watch it here for now . that is ok 6 months then it will be better. . soccer number 1. . hope this helps.

i just got my fiancee back to kc last month. it is cheaper to book round trip if you use a us airline. if not try to book over there 1 way as they have cheaper rates by about 100-200 dollars. also when you get back here to do here i-485 packet i suggest you invest in legal help. i did all the paper work to get her here my self. but this packet is completely off the wall. try for 5 weeks to get it right . they also make you make an appointment to see the visa people here just to ask aquestion. the legal people i talk to on the phone said 6 months for everything. not 2 years like verywhere else. it seems that not to many people like to relocate to cow town. cheers and good luck at bkk embassy.
