ok lets have a look real time. We can only go by current Bangkok Bank landing rate for incoming TT monies though course they could go up but also down If you're sending completely free than £10,000 would land at 39.17 so 391,700 Baht minuus 500 Baht local fee so 391,200 £10,000 from Transferwise would land at 393,464 so 2,264 baht more Also doesnt take into account that most transfers we send are not free of charge but on BB example above we did. To me TW still comes out on top as long as you do bank transfer rather than debit credit card.....if your own bank charges to send as well than still a no brainer
-
ok there is the difference. Amount was for £10,000 transfer......£30 more but for the life of me I cant see why when debit card involved
-
Cant see that TW have increased charges Jacko ?? £1000 was £7 and £5000 was £30.07 so just over £6 per 1k (as of few minutes ago) I tried trawling back on my account but it only shows the amount of Baht paid out. Am pretty sure £1000 was £6.93 before from memory Edited....I dont use debit card to fund I transfer direct from online banking. I think its marginally cheaper
-
Yep its on their own website and actually quotes shorter connection of 30 minutes. Date was random.... @Brown1950 is that viable ??
-
Thats a regular time and connection on Austrian Airlines. Its not a one off. I've seen it many times on Travel Trolley quotes last few years......clearly the airline says its workable and as such bookable. Will see if I can get it on Austrians own site and screenshot up
-
With outbounds out of Heathrow stacked waiting to go as always then either a lot of times passengers miss the Bangkok connection or its held on a regular basis !
-
Won two Golden Globes last night as well. Strangely all the websites vote it 9/10 on average for accuracy with the main fail being that the Communist style flats used in the main shots had UPVC windows !!

I'll defend BA if only because I used to get staff tickets incredibly cheap (via brother). Not flown them since 2001 on the ID90 tickets as he left their employ but I always had a good time no flights cancelled or delayed from memory but seating was always a bit tight. One point though. If you were at 35,000 feet and an aircraft had a serious technical issue what airline would you want to be on to give you the best chance of getting on the ground. For me simply BA Can you imagine Somchai in the same situation on his motor......"well we cant tell the passengers that 3 of the 4 engines have stopped because we'll lose face"

lol greatly exaggerated the danger ?? Who the Russians originally or the Producers of the MinI Series ?? If you referring to the producers it would appear the opposite from this screenshot Dont forget the Russians to this day claim just....31

Yes definately. You can extend the Tourist Visa by 30 days (personally have never stayed longer than hard up against the first 60 days) but then no reason why you couldnt obtain the VOA for 30 days subsequently as well

I watched all 5 episodes of "Chernobyl" on the Muscat London sector on Oman air in December.......Never ever have I had flight go so quickly and the end credits on episode 5 detailing what happened to all the characters was very sobering. Estimates of those that died ranged from 4,000 to 93,000 The official figures are just.......31 If you havent seen it its a must watch. Its on Putlockers streaming site for free viewing

Marley from reading elsewhere on Thaivisa the consulates dont ask for the bank deposits accounts employment etc etc for Tourist Visas. (dont hold me to that though) Its probably worth the extra £15 to get a quick visa with zero hassle As such its only the Royal Thai embassy in London that want the works it appears (Again double check first) I'll be using the Cardiff one which I used to use in the 90's
-
Yes thats it Jacko.....

lol big style. As of 31st December the oaf has already gone back on 7 election pledges including Cancer and Childrens wards being offered for privatisation...... Mind you you were all warned enough times zero sympathy for the shit thats coming for the people who voted for the buffoon...... By the way when he deliberately crashes us out of the EU (on behalf oh his hedge fund chums) with no deal on 31st December 2020 expect Sterling at $1.15 and with the ever rising Dollar/Baht ratio probably sat at 29 by then we can look forward to Sterling equalling around 33.50 Happy New Year

Go up to Pattaya Klang junction on 2nd rd. Assume that you're walking up from Beach Rd. Cross where the Baht Taxis wait and literally opposite is a L shaped walk through. Several maids in there advertising and doing alterations. Only saw them there still in November and they did one off item for me the year before
-
Trump didnt force the British people to vote for Brexit. If Sterling/Dollar was at the same level before that fateful day Sterling/Baht would be sat at 47 today down from the day before Brexit because of the Bahts appreciation against the Dollar since that time
-
No lol.....all the other currencies (our own) are weak against the USD on the other side of the currency pairing

Considering the amount of trips I've only ever been on a A380 twice and one of those two was when I aborted a trip originally out on Vietnam airways and went home one way on Malyasian in 2015 in what turned out to be a marathon 14 hours and 5 minutes. Never again in shit seats Only other time was Qatar on one of their 4 sectors in 2016. Amazing that they're being scrapped already

Out of interest and perhaps to highlight how quiet it is in Pattaya I've just booked a few days ago hotel in Soi 8 deluxe room (highest of the 3 options) for the staggering rate of just 628 Baht a night...... They were already on book 3 nights for price of 2 but then added a further 10% discount on final cost. Direct from Hotels own website yet again I might add throwing out this notion that the likes of Agoda are never beaten on price. Their price was 988 Baht same room
-
Go to Sabai Exchange its under Atlantic Bar Soi 3 where they'll literally take any note marked torn whatever except for outright forgery of which I had one last trip (£10) but she gave back to me at least........ Walloped it into Tescos when back home lol (seeing I originally got it out of their ATM) Certainly takes 50's as well had a couple last trip. Rate is always equal to TT exchanges and normally few satang higher
-
Sterling (lifted from elsewhere) is currently 40.48 at TT exchanges
