    Baht

    Equally bizarre.

lol big style. As of 31st December the oaf has already gone back on 7 election pledges including Cancer and Childrens wards being offered for privatisation...... Mind you you were all warned enough times zero sympathy for the shit thats coming for the people who voted for the buffoon...... By the way when he deliberately crashes us out of the EU (on behalf oh his hedge fund chums) with no deal on 31st December 2020 expect Sterling at $1.15 and with the ever rising Dollar/Baht ratio probably sat at 29 by then we can look forward to Sterling equalling around 33.50 Happy New Year

    Baht

    utterly bizarre
  4. Go up to Pattaya Klang junction on 2nd rd. Assume that you're walking up from Beach Rd. Cross where the Baht Taxis wait and literally opposite is a L shaped walk through. Several maids in there advertising and doing alterations. Only saw them there still in November and they did one off item for me the year before

    Baht

Trump didnt force the British people to vote for Brexit. If Sterling/Dollar was at the same level before that fateful day Sterling/Baht would be sat at 47 today down from the day before Brexit because of the Bahts appreciation against the Dollar since that time

    Baht

No lol.....all the other currencies (our own) are weak against the USD on the other side of the currency pairing
  7. Rawhide2

    Baht

Only 6 years ago it was as low as 29.....
  8. Considering the amount of trips I've only ever been on a A380 twice and one of those two was when I aborted a trip originally out on Vietnam airways and went home one way on Malyasian in 2015 in what turned out to be a marathon 14 hours and 5 minutes. Never again in shit seats Only other time was Qatar on one of their 4 sectors in 2016. Amazing that they're being scrapped already
  9. Out of interest and perhaps to highlight how quiet it is in Pattaya I've just booked a few days ago hotel in Soi 8 deluxe room (highest of the 3 options) for the staggering rate of just 628 Baht a night...... They were already on book 3 nights for price of 2 but then added a further 10% discount on final cost. Direct from Hotels own website yet again I might add throwing out this notion that the likes of Agoda are never beaten on price. Their price was 988 Baht same room
  10. Go to Sabai Exchange its under Atlantic Bar Soi 3 where they'll literally take any note marked torn whatever except for outright forgery of which I had one last trip (£10) but she gave back to me at least........ Walloped it into Tescos when back home lol (seeing I originally got it out of their ATM) Certainly takes 50's as well had a couple last trip. Rate is always equal to TT exchanges and normally few satang higher
  11. Sterling (lifted from elsewhere) is currently 40.48 at TT exchanges
  12. Quite startling and now into the dry season for what 4-5 months will there be anything left come start of May ??
  13. If I can make a suggestion. I know many are waiting and waiting to transfer Sterling based perhaps on a Tory majority and anticipation of a further increase in Sterling/Baht....now that may well happen but in the financial world the old adage is "buy the rumour sell the facts" The "rumour" in this case is the anticipated Tory victory which is why we've seen Sterling rising against the Dollar but "sell the facts" may well come into play when that victory is assured and traders sell off their profits....... Now that doesnt happen all the time but stand on me it happens very frequently acros
  14. Sterling continues to head north against the Dollar and (for now) the Baht has started to weaken against the Dollar.....at moment interbank is just shy of 40 at 39.89 at time of post
  15. Yes I should have done but normally they have flag badges with their names on it but yesterday just had their names. They were all lovely but 2 were utterly startling in looks
  16. Sign of the times maybe over visitor numbers overall but last 5-6 return tickets on Oman have been heaving. Choco block .....yesterday Bangkok Muscat was around 75% full only and Muscat London only 85% at best. Both sectors had the most stunning cabin crew, they weren't Thais or Filipino but absolutely gorgeous and very polite with it. Very surprised indeed after I have moaned consistently about the hounds on that routing previously
  17. They simply dont exist. Oman hold the record when the last pair of slots went for $75 million think it was 2016 from Kenya airways When Jet collapsed it made a problem for Etihad who had leased them slots. Etihad took them back but a lot of flights were ghost flights to keep their ownership intact as obviously very lucrative should they be resold subsequently. Am not sure if Etihad are now operating them normally again they may well be
  18. Really ?? (I dont doubt you) Even T4 at Heathrow has free drop off location clearly marked used it earlier this year
  19. They are but make no mistake that flight would be extremely popular
  20. Sterling was 38.85 at Yellow TT Sunday 3pm and also same at the Sabai Exchange under Atlantic Bar Soi 3 who up to now have taken any old notes however first time today rejected a £10 note of mine. Brand new out of ATM in UK before trip as well. Must have a been a fake as its unmarked
  21. When I first used Oman in 2013 and getting on to the bus transfer to terminal it looked like a quaint Greek island terminal. I think the bus transfer probably encouraged many poor reviews but I always found the place easy going. Vastly improved of course now since March 2018 with new Terminal with standard air bridges
  22. lol Muscat airport is brand new (March 2018) easy to navigate and has everything you need including some of the cheapest tobacco in the world
  23. Am guessing slightly but must have had 50 return flights transiting via Doha Abu Dhabi Bahrain Oman or Dubai so 100 times all up and cant ever recall a hand luggage rummage of any sorts ever. Standard bag scan we get at all airports. Have had though 3 outbound from Heathrow (at scanner check one fairly recently)
