Sign of the times maybe over visitor numbers overall but last 5-6 return tickets on Oman have been heaving. Choco block .....yesterday Bangkok Muscat was around 75% full only and Muscat London only 85% at best. Both sectors had the most stunning cabin crew, they weren't Thais or Filipino but absolutely gorgeous and very polite with it. Very surprised indeed after I have moaned consistently about the hounds on that routing previously

They simply dont exist. Oman hold the record when the last pair of slots went for $75 million think it was 2016 from Kenya airways When Jet collapsed it made a problem for Etihad who had leased them slots. Etihad took them back but a lot of flights were ghost flights to keep their ownership intact as obviously very lucrative should they be resold subsequently. Am not sure if Etihad are now operating them normally again they may well be

Really ?? (I dont doubt you) Even T4 at Heathrow has free drop off location clearly marked used it earlier this year
-
They are but make no mistake that flight would be extremely popular

Sterling was 38.85 at Yellow TT Sunday 3pm and also same at the Sabai Exchange under Atlantic Bar Soi 3 who up to now have taken any old notes however first time today rejected a £10 note of mine. Brand new out of ATM in UK before trip as well. Must have a been a fake as its unmarked

When I first used Oman in 2013 and getting on to the bus transfer to terminal it looked like a quaint Greek island terminal. I think the bus transfer probably encouraged many poor reviews but I always found the place easy going. Vastly improved of course now since March 2018 with new Terminal with standard air bridges

lol Muscat airport is brand new (March 2018) easy to navigate and has everything you need including some of the cheapest tobacco in the world
-
Am guessing slightly but must have had 50 return flights transiting via Doha Abu Dhabi Bahrain Oman or Dubai so 100 times all up and cant ever recall a hand luggage rummage of any sorts ever. Standard bag scan we get at all airports. Have had though 3 outbound from Heathrow (at scanner check one fairly recently)

Never flown any of them Jacko the "nearest" would be ANA and Eva. We were sat at pool yesterday and am missing 3 airlines lol I got to 24 pretty easily but nope definately the ones missing aren't Chinese carriers. These days its Oman in the main I use
-
Lol yes it is fair number I agree. Top 3 I would say Cathay Pacific, Eva (especially their Evergreen deluxe product they had in the nose cone on the 747 Combis they used) and Qantas. Emirates were also good in the early years. Never been on Singapore otherwise I'm sure they'd be in the 3 Bottom 3 would say Biman Bangladesh, Uzbekistan and Balkan. Whilst in bottom three I actually flew all 3 of those more than once I could and should add Phuket air to that bottom group because a week after I flew them one way Bangkok Gatwick around 2005 ish (think it was) they grounded the 747 at

Luthansa are introducing twice daily flights into Bristol next March apparently with onward connections. Could be useful to myself but whilst I've flown 27 airlines to Bangkok from Uk have never been on Luthansa before. Will be looking into that next year

Porcelain veneers in Pattaya.
Rawhide2 replied to Fred Aztec's topic in Doctors, Dentists, Clinics and Hospitals
6000 Baht at Dr Warin probably the best dentist in Pattaya for price and ability. Highly recommended. You're not going to get a single veneer for 3000 Baht...Dr Cherry in Dentist Beach in Central Festival is 8000 Baht each. Thats Warins old business partner Its not just the cost of the veneer either. You'll have preperation work on the tooth where the original veneer was lost from on top lol or you could pay £700 each in the UK I bet they're even more in the USA -
That travel trolley I mentioned before will always tell you in quick view what aircraft are rostered on to the flight that day before you book (probably others do as well)
-
I use exclusively these days Travel Trolley best agent out there in my opinion. Dont even use Skyscanner anymore.... Had at least 30 tickets off them probably more ticketed within hours each time and never a single problem over payments Edited that Lufthansa included 30kg baggage £523 on Emirates your flight so roughly the same you said in Euro

The top left that effects absolutely everyone continues its march south unfortunately

This was last night Monday....

Current shenanigans in the Commons not effecting Sterling/Baht right on recent highs at 39.35 Interbank currently.
-
Indeed cant personally recall it ever at that level
-
I just put in outbound purely random of 28th April inbound 20 May again random out of Heathrow Thai £448 30kg bags Eva £454 30kg bags BA £457 but no bags included Lot of the one stops were very cheap as well Ignoring the very cheap Chinese carriers all the following are standard connections Lufthansa £376 Turkish £389 Oman £401 Etihad £404 Emirates £415 (lowest bagagge 23kg with Etihad 25kg Emirates)

"Grey" market will open tonight at 23.00 with Sterling down around 100 pips it appears (1 cent) so not too bad but we'll see tomorrow
-

-
Its the uncertainty thats crucifying us again over Brexit forcing Sterling lower against the USD

I'd be interested to know what forums took off in the 1993-1996 period that Bakwhan was on about ?? Perhaps out and out German boards maybe ?? First one I can recall that could be labelled British was that Yellow Board that we mention occasionally around 1999-2001 era ??

I often use the TT that is on Beach Rd between 7 and 8 because you can go inside away from shoulder watchers
