This is Copy and Paste from my own post on Legends so no harm in sharing on this occasion (hopefully it doesnt open huge gaps between sentences as occasionally happens) Few guys were on airline threads chatting and advocating Scoot airlines pros and cons on their non stop Gatwick Bangkok service Fares for Scoot Plus seating (featured in video) were coming in at around £620 return last time I checked depending on which days of the week Paul Lucas has done a 2nd review on them and normally he can be utterly brutal..... Aircraft is the exact model/layout as per the video .....igno

Unhedged fuel increases kicking in

In hindsight no I wouldnt be using Eva premium economy either !! Same dates. Thats insane for Elite class......there was a time when they first started flying out of Gatwick to Bangkok around 1993 that it was only £100 more for PE than standard economy
-
Same flight but in Business with same carrier Gulf I think any business class will make economy class look piss poor but theres £1897 difference between the two fares and Biz lands 30 metres in front of economy lol At 44 to the £ thats 83,468 Bahts worth of bonking.....Economy for me every time. If I was heavily loaded I'd use Eva Elite ( their premium economy) but nahh I'd never pay for Biz myself outright

Have just run identical price check as was per original dated post but changed it now to 2022 First price was cheaper (fairly long transit inbound) but the rest were higher. Really had expected prices to have dipped with perhaps increased competition but carriers still dont have the frequency of 2019 thats for sure

Highly recommended...LIVE streams from Heathrow

Bloody hell lol......rather than seeing how close the left wing engines were to striking the runway look at the right wing sharply rise (as we view it) Coming in initially it looked a perfectly smooth landing including wheels down..... -
What part of that are you implying I'm joking....?? I've looked and looked again and still cant see what you're suggesting Indulge me. I assure you I'm being serious (Edited to add there is doubt of what was actually onboard the jet that went to Russia breaking airspace restrictions but lets just say it wasn't tourists)

Overnight thats changed to Red virtually everywhere. Unfortunately Ursula von der Leyen is doing her very best to ensure Putin launches his first nuclear weapon in anger... Putin warned dont INTERFERE.....nobody therefore can be surprised whatsoever when he does subsequently launch (statement of fact rather than inviting political discussion) I see Russian Rouble Boris allowed a private jet to take off from Inverness bound for Russia last night against all sanctions doubtless loaded down with cash
-
Further down that page was this.....is that the shortest transit connection ever !!
-
Acknowledge OP was relating to USA fares but just ran this via Travel Trolley for leaving tomorrow for 1 month London Bangkok
-
I cant imagine any airline currently willing to use Russian airspace no matter what logistical problems that might throw up More and more Countries closing their airspace to Russian airlines as well have just been reading an update from Alex Macheras top aviation guy

Gotta laugh at Jerry Dyers comments just brilliant Amazing that the Captain has only one hand on the column (I appreciate the reason why) -

Dear oh dear lol -
Strange because although the choice is still limited the cheap fares never really went away out of the UK.....I just very quickly did a check on a Gulf air flight which I'd done for a friend previously leaving next Thursday for a month and still only £340 (same as a month ago)

Jerry Dyer the new internet sensation lol after Storm Eunice I did have a giggle yesterday seeing him interviewed on many channels and recalling several comments on this thread who had a pop last year Had 225,000 live viewing his streaming which was also carried Live by Sky News during the day (as a side screen) from Heathrow -
Medical insurance for expats, both Thailand and your home country
Rawhide2 replied to Ready2Retire's topic in Expat Issues
At the risk of getting another 2 red marks (I know who is doing it rest assured) I still cant see the logic of self insurance because of the 3 biggies I mentioned before Stroke Heart attack or Trauma Especially if you're single just tell me who is going to access your "nest egg" when you're in a Coma ?? ICU's are mega expensive no matter what country you are in. 1 Million baht stashed will not last very long As someone who has had cancer (and using it as an example ) if I suddenly started pissing blood again I know the reason. Pack your bags straight to airport and 1 way trip home us -
Obviously to spite me via Travel Trolley there they are lol Quick connections both ways Only 45 minutes outbound
-
Yeah few guys on Legends Group put up Lufthansa at £342 out of the UK with standard connections Never flown them personally and never seem to come up on Travel Trolley at the lower end of the prices....someone years ago said the seats were tight in economy. Could well have changed
-
Moving date forward to month of May which has always been the chepest out of the UK along with June and the Turks come up nicely with good baggage allowance.....there were prices from £368 with other carriers but no bags included Only flew them once think it was 2001 and had by son who would have been roughly 6 months old. Remember well the crew fussed over him on both flights
-
Cheapies are still about. Another BM here had expressed interest in the dates on screenshot. Yep I acknowledge the inbound transit is longer than normal but these are really low fares. I've been on Gulfs Dreamliners and they're very nice albeit Bahrain airport was pretty dismal.....if you can pick up wifi though time would go relatively quickly
