  1. ........and yet my experience is the complete and utter opposite Best agent I've ever dealt with and as earlier mentioned went way beyond the call of duty on two issues I had unrelated to themselves
  2. Have just run that same schedule but included all London rather than just Heathrow Top 2 below....well cheap to say the least
  3. I've copied the 2nd one on to a football forum (I daren't with the 1st albeit I wanted to lol)
  4. International "open" tourism wont remotely be back on the menu by June. Not until the vast majority of the Thai population are vaccinated
  5. I dont thank BA have any real prior knowledge purely taking an educated guess that Bangkok will be back on the menu by then
  6. Only thing that matters on aircraft is the seat pitch. People claim the A380 is big and spacious but if you have a seat pitch of 32" in economy and 34" on a A330 or a 787 then the 34" seat pitch wins every time for me
  7. Seriously no matter what anyone claims (and I'm seeing supposed quarantine to be dropped overnight for vaccinated people) theres no way any British nationals will be turning up this year with just a smile and a passport at Suvarnabhumbi
  8. Jump in now fella you're clearly wanting to...... I can only reiterate that I've never from memory had any real issue with any agency ever. I remember in 1996 waiting in T2 Heathrow for a ticket to arrive with just 2 hours to lift off but it came as they promised by courier. I can only recall booking direct with the airline 2-3 times from memory which leaves well over 150 with agents
  9. Just not my experience with agents. Notwithstanding that invariably they're cheaper. I told my experience of getting offloaded in 2015 here on PT before on Oman when I went to check in 24 hours before wheels up and pop up box came up please call this Bangkok number when inputting booking reference. As it was an early morning flight the next day I waited an hour before a travel agent opened near Arcadia Mansion and got them to ring the number instead, In short Oman had received an activation of a group of 43 people who were on open full fare tickets. In short Oman offloaded 43 single
  10. Enormous experience with TT and by far the best agent have ever dealt with. Went out of their way twice to help me (and did) ....Never once have I had an eticket not issued within an hour and never once any price change bullshit No idea how many I've had from them must be 20 plus return tickets maybe more If airlines cancel a flight its up to the airline to hotel you or re route you not the agent itself. Some say you'll get more assistance if you book direct with an airline via own website no experience on that point though
  11. This one works a treat in my opinion https://www.viprow.me/
  12. On the basis there "may" be a possibility of flying into Thailand later in the year I did a search on Travel Trolley my preferred agent and was pleasantly surprised not to see obvious price gouging Course whether the flight actually goes is another matter but worth viewing the prices. Nov 1st outbound and inbound 30th November....random dates selected. Missed out the cheapest Gulf Air at £390 as long inbound sectors albeit that Singapore selection does as well....rest are standard transits etc Thai and BA no fares but Eva was £657.....only about 20% of what you normally expect to be
  13. I know one thing I'm never staying in this shithole UK again at Christmas. Anywhere but here. I'm whiter than a snowman I look postively ill compared to normal lol
  14. From my neck of the woods we've got Turkey Cyprus Southern Spain Canaries as winter destinations and whilst not hot tempertures which I love in Thailand they're better than freezing my nuts off in the UK. Benidorm it could well be. I went twice on fag and baccy runs lol around 1994 with some other mad sods it was a good laugh
  15. Top post indeed So many issues up in the air. I simply will not be returning until we can turn up at immigration with a smile and nothing else. As such I reckon 3 years at least possibly longer. I can hardly be bothered with the Girls in the first place so having to quarantine at own expense and jump through hoops is an absolute no no from me
  16. Lotsa Baht maybe but only in the region of $800 Million......a drop in the ocean compared to Thailand financial reserves at $250 Billion
  17. Bizarrely thats exactly where we would be if the Baht has stayed at around 33 to the USD where it was for a while at the start of the pandemic. It weakened out quite quickly in February but unfortunately recovered With Sterling where it is now against that USD we'd actually be seeing 44.30
  18. Purely down to Sterling rising once again against the ever weakening USD Baht itself virtually unmoved against the benchmark USD at 31.20 where its been for some time Brits increased rate purely down to Sterling strength for once on one side of the currency pairings....
  19. I see the Thai repatriation flight bookable this morning went tits up as as soon as the website opened/crashed and by 9.04am four minutes after it opened all seats were gone ! Forget Thailand until 2022 you'll sleep a lot easier !
  20. Never been keen on them have never trusted Somchai with his bike spanners and mai pen rai attitude to routine servicing between flights if needed Shrug of the shoulders and not my problem. Pretty sure have only flown them twice return and one of those was a transfer from Eva who were stranded at Heathrow having gone tech. Under the circumstances unlikely to be flying them again
  21. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-53659844 Savage times.......
  22. There has been a change though from the Embassy on number 5 Previously those fit to fly certificates and Covid test results had to be presented in person to the Thai Embassy to get "signed off".....now thats been relaxed to present at check in instead. Much of the previous angst and rightfully so was that for most people a trip to the Embassy takes a day Still not a chance in hell I could achieve in the 2 days pre flight (because thats what it is in reality) to visit to the GP, get a test, subsequent results and then a medical to get a fit to fly certificate Its just impossible
  23. Dear Sir/Madame, Thank you very much for the queries about travelling to Thailand for foreigners and according to the list of categories of travelling purposes that are allowed to enter the country. However, it could be very difficult. We would like to recommend to you postpone it or consider not to travel if not necessary. You would need to check whether what visa you are required as well as the Certificate of Entry (COE). If you already have the valid visa or re-entry permit, you would still need the COE http://www.thaiembassy.org/london/en/services/7742/119247-Requirements-for-
