I really like staying in this area, have done for the last few years. However, saying that the beach is 2 minutes away (unless travelling by Tardis) is not quite true.

I always stay in that area when in Pattaya and one of the reasons is that it is easy to get to most places in town from there.

This is one party I'll be real sorry to miss. Good luck mate -
Used Mr Toom once and NEVER again. Since then have used Limo Pattaya and tho a bit more expensive they have always provided excellant service. On my next trip which is Eons away I will be trying Lostinspace if they are still providing a service. As stated by others no service can be 100% but when it affects you it's time to try alternatives.

and yet you've posted a link for Ma Maison on Soi 13....a really upmarket area of Pattaya???? would love to know your criteria for up market. Stayed in the Soi Buakaow area for the last three years and found it a great place for a base camp... to each their own -

Yes yes and double yes. I have stayed in that area for periods totaling nine weeks and though there are some stunners in the surrounding beer bars I took the advice not to sh1t on my own doorstep. I have BF'd from the Rockhouse without any problems but it is not a beer bar. Myself and my mate did have a few problems with two girls from the Simon Complex who stalked us but the staff at the Areca were very good in protecting us. Nothing sinister, they just kept turning up at the hotel looking for us.

The Jasmine Mansion does a nice mixed menu and their food was always very good. With your back to Areca turn right, take a left just before the first 7/11 (on corner), follow road round past Rockhouse/Lolitas/Hell club, when you reach T junction take a left and Jasmine is second building in. Tell Kevin and Jin Alex says Hi. As for bars, if you don't mind starting your holiday by sh*ting on your own doorstep so to speak then there are a load of bars on the road where Areca is (take a left out of Hotel).

Help and advice needed for my second trip
alexist replied to chrisbrewer's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Hi Chris Last July I stayed in the Jasmine Mansion. The Staff, Kevin, and Jin are all exceptional, the food selection is varied and anything I ate was well presented and very tasty. The breakfast (didn't make it too often) is nice and would set you up for the day ahead. It is guest friendly and the night security man was helpful and welcoming. There is a small bar and a free pool table. In room safe and spotless. If you like smaller family style Hotels then the Jasmine Mansion ticks all the boxes. For me it was like a home from home and I would highly recommend it. -
Looks all right to me, sweep up the rubble, quick lick of paint, a few tables and chairs, toilet roll, neon sign outside, bar, music, low lighting and of course 20 or 30 lovely ladies...there ya go up and running in no time!

Clubs, shoes and accessories are about the same price as back home. I bought some titleist Pro V'S and they were about 10-15% cheaper.

Must be the shortest trip report on record for a 15 day (two city) stay but I suppose you could say all the info is in there. So thanks for taking the time to post, a very enjoyable read.

I bought a Teddy Bear for £10 and sold it on for £20, hope I don't get into trouble for making a "prophet".

Hi there kiddo... see if you can get the disc cleaner cheaper on ebay. A guy at work uses one on his DVD players and rewriters on his computers. He has two sons and between the three of them they use the players regularly so they do need cleaned every so often. I had a similar problem with my rewriter but the cleaner didn't work for me. The cleaner itself is very straightforward to use if you decide to buy one.

for you that have never been to pattaya
alexist replied to cowboy's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I don't think either post was aimed at the OP (mine certainly wasn't). I would think its pretty obvious that if someone has been given a limited lifespan then saving and planning beyond that would be pointless. The reason for my post was that some people do indeed live life for today but sometimes spend the rest of their lives regretting it. Living a dream beyond your means aint always what its cracked up to be. It really is a matter of opinion but in Cowboys case the choice has perhaps been taken from him. Once again I do wish him the best! -

I am sorry to hear of your predicament, what a kick in the balls. However I disagree with your idea about rushing forward with visits, retirement plans, or anything just in case we don't make it, for whatever reason. None of us can allow for all scenarios but we must all plan and arrange things how we like/want for the things we can control. IMHO there is no point doing things before you are totally happy with your preparations. We may die tomorrow or we may live a long long time, none of us can see the future but rushing into things because lifes too short can often backfire and make -
I stayed there in July 2006. I found the staff very friendly towards me and my guests. The gym is so basic its not worth a mention. The food is quite good and well presented. There is an open air bar just at the entrance to the hotel and I spent many an enjoyable hour there waiting for my very vain friend to get ready. The rooms are reasonable but I would suggest getting one with a pool view. I did not and had the problem of people in rooms facing me looking in on my activities (and vice versa). One of the pools was continually closed for cleaning and other such things bu

Theram This happened to me earlier this year. Google MBS Management and it will give you info. There are also a couple of sites which give info on how to remove it (didn't work for me). As time passes it will keep popping up and each time it freezes your computer and it takes longer to get rid of the pop up. I could not get rid of the pop up even after quite a few letters and e-mails. I did not phone in case it was a premium rate phone number. MBS just kept saying that I or someone using my computer had signed up for the site. What (eventually) worked for me was sending them the same
