I am a Manchester Airport based Private hire driver and There is NO free pick up point anywhere at Manchester Airport you have to use the pay short stay car parks at each terminal also the free drop off area bus runs very infrequent and you have to wait in the open in all weathers .... -

there is a free drop off point but no free pickup at Manchester airport picking up in a drop off area is subject to a £100 penalty as for the free drop off thats where we are allowed to park up the bus service is dire and run very infrequently and who want to stand there in the rain /cold just to save£3 -

Manchester airport drop off charges are as follows £3 for 5 mins £4 for ten mins and £25 if you go over ten mins pick up in short stay £4.50 for 30 mins £6.50 one hour trust me im a taxi driver ...5555 -

Stayed here at stutus court on soi Buakhao twice and could not fault it great location less than a five minute walk to lk metro two mins walk to retox bar for the best full english breakfast 99 bhat here a you tube video of the area also a link to the web hotel web site http://www.sutuscourt.com/ i booked through booking .com and got a good price hope this helps ..Ian -

just checked my local tesco in the uk £1 = 3.50 baht was in pattaya last july and got just under 45 baht to the pound it was my first trip last july and i think this will be my last will look at trying vietnam...cambodia or lao ...many of my friends who have been visiting thailand for years and who persuaded me to give it a try are staying at home this year 2019 because of the exchange rate ....Ian -
Thanks for all the advice went to the local uk post office with one passport photo and £5.50p two minutes later the proud owner of an international driving permit and it is now sitting safely in my suitcase for my july trip ....Ian

Hi i have planned a trip from Pattaya to Kanchanaburi for a few days would you recommend that i hire a car and if so any recommendations that include good insurance and an idea of prices also i will be accompanied by a Thai lady now there's a surprise ..555 she has a Thai licence so would it be better for her to drive or me ..as i want to do some exploring of the area ..thanks in advance Ian .p.s will i need an international driving licence to drive in Thailand Ian

looked at storage but i also need accommodation for my first few days and also the last week so i've looked on hotel trivago for a hotel nearer the action but the prices plus storage fees dont justify it for the length of my stay especially as i got ozone prime at a cheap rate ......Ian but thanks for all the help Ian -

To be honest i normally stay in stutus court on soi Buakhao but could not justify the price for such a short stay 1 was looking at £600/£700 just to keep an empty room for 3 weeks while i tour Thailand...and i got this one at a bargain price also if it is as you say i will move hotels whe i return from my travels thanks for doing a recce for me ....Ian -

Thanks for the replies to be honest its just a base hotel for my travels around Thailand i will be only staying for 7/10 days here the rest of the time traveling around ..so i think i will manage to get around via motor bike taxis thanks once again for the info ...Ian -
