Have been searching the usual www sites since November for flights from LHR or LGW to BKK at a reasonable price, but still cant find anything below £530. Normally pay mid 400's but this time nowhere near. What is your advice, do you think we will see a price reduction or sale? I am looking to fly in late April, well after Songkran and Easter so am not flying in the typical 'load' season. I have always booked before the end of January but this year the chances of a low fare seem remote. I must just have to bit the bullet.

Hi Boardies. I will be returning tto the LOS in September but this time will have the family in tow. Spending a couple of days in Pattaya and then am planning to go to Cha'am. I am looking for advice for the journey transfer. I would like to drive it myself in a rental car. Has anyone else done this. What is the route like? Is it easy to get lost? How long did it take? Would you do it again? What rental company did you use? How much did it cost? How about going by taxi? Any recommendations of who would do this long journey and how much would it cost. Heres a good tip. If you are making a minimum of three flights internally use Bangkok airways airpass. They only charge 50$ per flight inclusive of tax.

I have never flown to BKK from LHR with a stop over. Have always gone direct with Thai or Eva. Getting to the LOS never seems a problem, but the journey back is always painfully long to me. This year, for the first time, I am goinf to have a stop over. I am flying with Qatar via Doaha and have a little bit of time to stretch and get some fresh air. I have never flown with Qatar before so fingers crossed.

Glynn Stayed there a couple of years ago. This is more of a family run establishment and ideal for familes. Guests are really not welcome. I was told that my guest had to leave by 11am
