  1. From my experience, the pharmacists in Thailand, have absoutely no idea whatsoever and will give you advice and medication that will threaten your health/life.
  2. I remember first seeing Lam over 20 years ago in Patts when i first arrived here...some things never change
  3. Bump So what was the bad things? I found the reports of best fish and chips in Patts to be totally untrue, but the breakfasts are the best that ive had in a long time, could not fault them
  4. I approached a few BKK travel agents to do it for me but got an emphatic no as there was a good chance it would be refused..i had to queue up at the Embassy( more like an old school hall) with all the bloody hippies for hours in the sweletering heat. To the OP good tip here. When approaching the counter with your documents have a couple of hundred baht in it....my mate did this and walked out straight away...i didn't listen to his advice and was left hanging around for hours...oh how he laughed at me cos i said it wouldn't work
  5. You need to get a Emirates Platinum credit card, you will get 2 vouchers to the lounge per year and a free limousine pick up and drop to the airport once a year as well.I use my Emirates card for business expenses and if you spend 100k per year ( max you can earn) you get 150k frequent flyers which is equivalent to 4 return flights to Bkk from sydney per year, and the best part is,when you book your flight, the ff's are the same as cash and you can pick any flight and upgrade at will...unlike Quantas ff ripoffs. I had a mate who put me onto this, who booked a business return to Bkk from Sydney us
  6. I remember TJ (RIP) from Coyotees a gogo a few years ago getting a round of green looking shots on a tray and passing them around to certain tables of customers, and when i declined ( as i don't like shots) he said..don't worry, theres no alchohol in them,we just do it to induce reciprocation of shot buying from the customers...Jeeeeez
  7. The Haven does have the worse service staff, but it does have great food with an extensive menu...and cheap
  8. I've been going to SS for years now but with the price hike it just isn't worth it..they don't even have a safe in the rooms.I now stay at Ses Me soi 10 brand new,and same price or cheaper
  9. Your right i did not take that into account,i didn't think the Thai Company/Farang quota would have been too high...
  10. Raimonland have just released a new development in Pratanamk Hill called the Mixx where there are a staggering 1200 condo's for sale on the same site.Seems to me there are way to many high end condos getting built and i don't think the current sale price of 100,000 baht per sq/m( for high end) and well over, can be sustained,I will be retiring in 5 years and i can see the best plan for me would be to rent in the building that i like and if i decide to commit there, then just wait for the inevitable fire sale. For an example, there is a Raimonland development called NorthShore( built about 4 yea
  11. Yes i had a look at The Waterfront and is seems very impressive and is in a great location for me,but it has gone up 5% not 20% from when it first went on sale.I will wait till it's built before i think about buying in,there are hundreds of studios for sale in there and i'm sure there will be a fire sale or two once its built
  12. www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEusKs9sNOE Funny as all fcuk
  13. yes she did like getting barebacked in the ass...
  14. I just spent last weekend there for 2 nights,i normally stay at the Sandy Springs hotel but this will become my new favourite. The hotel is brand new and squeaky clean and the rooms are great.I paid $65,00 Aus per night through Agoda which is about 1900 baht...i was not bothered by any noise but then again i didnt get home till about 4 in the morn and i was staying in a room opposite the works..They are digging out the soi at the moment and it is a bit of a pain getting to and fro but once it's all finished it will all be good...but from what i could see,you could expect some/a lot of noise if
  15. I remember Walking St from many years ago when the girls would try and out slut each other in the tiniest shorts imaginable and Walking St truly was a visual delight, but they started to cover up and modesty prevailed when the normal family groups starting arriving Ahhhh the good old days
  16. Is this now common in Walking Street? i had 3 sightings in my 3 day stay..could have been the same person ,but how would you know? Full body coverings ,including gloves, following behind their bearded husband....just seems to ruin your fun by even looking at them.
  17. So there is a Bandidos chapter in Pattaya? i remember 4 or 5 years ago seeing Bandidos riding down Soi 4 Bkk quite often, and always assumed they had a clubhouse or home bar in the area
  18. I agree the SS is the best hotel around for views and location, nice restaurants in the Soi...to the original poster,i stayed at the Inn house once and ended up getting an interconnecting room where i could hear the guy in the room next to me,farting and shagging...quite unpleasent, and view was minimal
  19. Read about it in a Penthouse mag back in 89...packed my bags and headed over
  20. Your right about the Motorsai riders,a real surly, sullen mob the lot of them
