Why as an airline would you purchase a four engine aircraft , when you can provide the same or better service, more profitably, using aircraft with 2. It never made any real sense once the NEOs came onto the scene and ETOPS became a common reality. Of course hindsight is a wonderful thing, but that's why you pay the big bucks to the manufacturing executives. They got a bit carried away with their own propaganda, having done the same with the A340. The A350 redresses the failures by Airbus and should be ( is already?) a big success.

I hesitated to post here, as its not really a matter for disclosure on a forum, but here goes. I have over 8,000 hours on the B777- 200 and 300 ER. Boeings are very nice aircraft to fly, understandable ( as opposed to Airbus) and relatively easy to fly. I used to say to my colleagues that I could teach my Grandmother to fly a B777 in no time at all. I am retired now of course, but it is apparent to me, and to the airline pilot community as a whole, that Boeing have lost the plot and lost their soul, aided in great part by the incompetence of the FAA, something that is not only saddening, but potential catastrophic for the airline industry. The B737Max is the tip of the iceberg in my view and I for one would not fly on it. No need to go into the reasons here. I'm sure that many of you have read the reports on the inherent design flaws of that aircraft, which are still not resolved and cannot be with that design. You just cannot overcome basic design errors with a computer patch. The B777X, in concept, is a great step forward, but it seems from reports that it is suffering from the same kind of design failures that can come about when the basic aircraft design is stretched technologically, beyond what is reasonable, stable and safe, something Airbus have not contemplated . Boeing appear to have overlooked or ignored the basic aircraft design concept , that the aircraft should be inherently stable in all known configurations within its flying envelope. Leave inherent instability to fighter aircraft, not airliners. Ignore this basic or all rules and you risk what happened to the Max.

I'm sorry, but I don't agree with that view. To me, the Jury is very much out on the Chinese and Russian vaccines. One cannot trust the statements of totalitarian regimes and their largely untested 'products'. I will wait until,a western vaccine is available to me in Thailand . I am far from stressed about waiting.

I tired it once but I went to sleep and was thrown out of the class. I think it was more for admiring the nice shapely butts than the sleep, but it would have never have worked for me, you can't make the lotus position with an erection. ?

They are absolutely hopeless. Until they have a total clear out and employ a management team with intentional aviation experience (I am available by the way ?) they are doomed to repeat their obvious mistakes. Thai is a basket case and always will be.

I don't normally stand on such principles, but I will not fly with an airline owned by a terrorist supporting State. I will fly with the more liberal Middle Eastern airlines, but not Saudi or this one.

I registered last week, I even got an appointment date, 1st January 1970. Just have to find where I parked that damn time machine and I will be fine. I know that that date is the default date stamp for all computer programmes, which I suppose means they didn't programme the thing correctly, what a surprise.

Ah well, it was a nice idea while it lasted. I'm not expecting to get vaccinated anytime this year, maybe January 2022.

Has anyone any information on this report, that the various western Ambassadors are seeking vaccines for their own citizens based in LOS. If true, its about time. better late than never I guess.

I use Express VPN. very good, can stream several movies at once, Quite stable , but it can have its off days, as they all can.

I only went to Sabai once, I was not at all impressed. Not too clean, girls average at best and the service very 'mechanical.' I left very dissatisfied. I am not sure about the 'aimed at Koreans'. I just think that they aim at a higher end clientele, that values service quality over price, It's not for the cheap charlies that is for sure. I was treated like a valued client, which of course, I paid for at 4K.

It was odd really, there was quite a crowd of Indian guys milling around on the outside parking area, maybe upwards of 10 or 12. I surmised that they had been told that no way would they get any service that day. They did look pissed off. They were just run of the mill guys, nothing indicating money. In the waiting area there were probably around 4 or 5 waiting, but the lady who escorted me past them said that they would not get serviced, but had decided to wait. The staff were serving them drinks so I guess that they were making some money off them. She was quite open about it and that the girls were very reluctant to service them. Maybe she was feeding me BS, but Jane later confirmed that no way would she and the majority of the girls go with a Indian or an Arab. I asked why, but she didn't give me a straight answer, just 'don't like, not clean' . As it was a soapy service, i didn't see the logic of the 'not clean' bit.

Perhaps a little more detail then , on my last visit, albeit, pre Covid and pre last Christmas. Decided that I needed a bit of pandering , so went along to Rasputin. Lots of Indian guys in the waiting area, as only a very few of the girls will entertain them. I was ushered straight past the waiting area, to the goldfish bowl area and offered a drink. I had already seen the girl I wanted, she was in the area dedicated to the top, 3,000 Baht range. Her name was Jane, small, as I like them, slim and very pretty. She was around late twenties I would guess, I never asked, never married (she said!) and no kids. Because she was a top end girl, we were given a top end room with a large sunken bath and a large King Size bed, with a nice clean cover and would you believe, actual pillows. It looked like a 4 star hotel room. Soapy in this big bath was very relaxing, kind off, as much as it can be with a beautiful naked girl rubbing all over you. 20 minutes of so in there and off to the bed. She was very talented and I tried to give as good as I was getting, because she was just that kind of lady. Due to her undoubted experience, it was not at all an unemotional experience, rather it was a short G/F one. After the 'athletics', we spent a lot of time just cuddled up and talking. She was after a farang B/F and wanted out. I made it clear that I was too old and too knackered to provide that, but I am sure that I wouldn't be long before she was snapped up. Tipped her 500 baht and promised to see her again. Great experience and well worth the 4,000 it cost me that visit. I remember very few of the girls that I have been with, but Jane I will remember.

Pre Covid, it was the place I would prefer to go very occasionally, to give myself a treat. It's a bit pricey, but the facilities are very clean and very comfortable. If you paid the 2,000/2,500 for the top girls, (90 minutes) they were certainly above the average. Anyone know if Rasputin's is open and offering the full range of services? I love that place but haven't been since last year. I dont know if some of the girls stayed in Pattaya for it to open.

I have been in my house for 3 years now., bought it new 5 years ago. I like the large rooms and big ish garden and of course the pool. I feel its my space, with nobody intruding into it, but that's me, anti social to the end.
