Funnily enough I once bought a bed from there and he was still there up until last week and when I drove past on Sunday the place was raised to the ground and gone. Buying a bed depends on you I bought my decent one from Index and I know not cheap but do you skimp on bed you’re spending half your life in... Didn’t see SB mentioned Sealy that’s what I bought very good.

Would you mind to share what was covered to that looks very reasonable. I never got as far as getting a quote. Be interesting to hear if anybody else has any experience with this company ?

I’m no expert on this but obviously it’s a topic we all will consider at some point in time. I somehow come across this video on YouTube no doubt somebody on here will have view on it one way or another but on the face of it it doesn’t seem too bad on the other hand it could be a complete rip off.

Absolutely living here they did a good job of deterring me from using them pre-covid. I just either went up the hill or out the back way to another Soi to pick a bike up. Obviously now I will just order a Bolt car for 50 baht. Incidentally you could order a bike on Bolt for 40 baht for same journey. Basically they had the luxury before of not bothering because there was enough tourists around to keep em going. Near me some of them more or less live on the job the ones that don’t look to be the ones who’ve disappeared. One actual sleeps in his old banger he uses as a taxi sometimes,

For sure normally it would have to be a committee decision if they dropped the price to 80 baht but now times are different and surely they can see that. Everyone is cutting their cloth to suit so why aren’t they. Just bloody stupid.

I live in Pratumnak and there is Moto taxi stand nearby. Before all this shit I stopped using them because they are just ripping people off I’d rather walk up the hill and get one of the guys up there. This lot I say lot because at any time there was easily 7 or 8 at a time working, Anyway now their numbers have dwindled and obviously the customers are few and far between. I just saw 3 potential customers walk by and ask how much for down town 100 baht each madam. The people just walked off. The last 2020 Sunset at NA Jomtien beach in my opinion one the best local places for Pizza and a drink to watch it go down.

I think locally you can negotiate a decent taxi price to BKK but for Pattaya airport they seem much cheaper. on the the standard Taxi drivers using Bolt I ordered a ride, one turned up and he picked up someone else 50m up the street. Was a bit of pisser but soon re-ordered another it came in 5 minutes so no big drama just be aware these guys are more mercenary I did message Bolt and they replied to say they will monitor this particular driver in future.

Jomtien beach on Christmas Day around midday nearly not a soul in sight. I wonder how long ago it was last like it 20 or 30 years ago I bet..

One driver told my wife they expect to put them up once they get better established which to be honest even they double them they will still be cheap. one thing perhaps not widely noticed is the price is not fixed there is a charge per minute waiting time so if you get snarled up the clocks ticking.that’s what I’m assuming.

I have started to use it in the last week and last was quite surprised to be picked up by a normal taxi. It was only a 50 baht ride and before you wouldn’t have been able to go anywhere for less than 150. He picked me up next to a taxi stand and stopped to talk to the other drivers all seemed quite friendly when you remember the stories about Grab drivers before. Noticed you can also order a motor bike as well. Experiences so far have all been really good.
