  1. Its not an area i would consider staying, too far off the beaten track for me. 5 to 10 min walk to bus route, there will be motos around but i tend to avoid them. On the flip side the complex is supposed to be very nice and quiet.Somehow im not sure that will suit you lol. Will be interested to find out how it goes, have a great hols.
  2. I have always used these. http://quote.insureandgo.com/Single/default.aspx Single.Multi or annual.Found them competitive.
  3. I agree Tombon,i think you have grasped it very well. The only thing i might argue about is that the Baht will not necassarily weaken itself but that the others will strengthen. IMO the best us Brits can hope for in the next couple of years is app 55B.
  4. This is far and away the best link ive found for a full range of accomodation.Have a good browse. http://www.soidb.com/en/pattaya/index.html
  5. No,didnt see it,was there a character named Phil Nickelson in it too.
  6. Hmmmmmmmmmmm very strange. How did other great players like Lucas Mcdonald,Tizer Would and Leak Eastwood get on
  7. Don't entirely agree. OP goes home to UK at xmas for 2 mnths, arrives back in Thailand, say early Feb.Then by the end of March he has to fly back to UK to get another O visa. This version is true only though if the OP has no way to meet the extension criteria.
  8. You cannot get a new O visa in Thailand. IMO if you cannot meet the visa requirements for the spousal retirement extension you are back to doing the 90 day visa runs. With an O visa bought in the UK. If later you have the 400k,you can apply again from scratch. If ive understood your post correctly haha.
  9. Hi Tony, Thats great info thanx a lot.As ive said before the location isnt a problem to me. Its good news that the rooms are as good as they look on their website. And yes ill be there over xmas, maybe see you then. Cheers Steve.
  10. OMG! how wrong can a guy be,just searched and here it is. http://www.thaiproperty.com/cgi-bin/db.pl?fid=1276844686&cgifunction=form 70 MB or £1.43M.Not a great rental return of around 3 1/2%
  11. I think you are probably right on the mark. A 7% return on the rent would place it around the 35 MB area.
  12. Hi Cicero, I hope you are having a fantastic holiday and the girls are treating you well . How has your first month been at MAXX,any downsides shown up or are things good? Im on the long countdown lol 18 weeks to go . Take care,Steve.
  13. I too would love to know which site is quoting such low prices.I have just checked Opodo,Travelsupermarket,Netflights,Hoodaki and one other. The cheapest was £545 with Lufthansa after that they were mostly over £580. Please please let us in on your info.
  14. I totally agree Tom £425 is a fantastic price,i certainly couldnt find anything near that. I have booked Emirates at £588 for early Oct,Etihad were quoting over £600.Admitted mine is a 6mnth ticket which tend to be a bit more expensive.
  15. Ive used Etihad quite a few times, this time they are more expensive and im flying Emirates. The Airlines to me are pretty much of the same, just a means of getting there. No matter who you fly with you have to have a stopover,be careful when booking you dont end up with a long one.Flights are availlable with under 3hrs. Im there from 7 Oct till April. Try this link, its the cheapest i found this time around. http://www.worldwideflights.com/ But there are many sites, just google and look around. You're going to have a ball,no doubt lol.
  16. Hi mate, As of 16th May......Booking now made,it took a good few days to get the comfimation but everything is now in place. Thanx Cicero PS whats your real name?
  17. Haha i doubt it,she is a model from Newcastle who i used to use for my now defunct website. Ive just emailed Ralph, maybe wait for his answer and if i need a little more help i know who to ask mate.Thanx.
  18. Being helpful is good and your the best. Cheers
  19. Great info, thanx mate. Is Ralph available for phone calls.I think i can arrange for the deposit to be paid by a friend who lives in Pattaya. Is the noise from the street etc. or from thin walls lol. Shame we wont be meeting up there so i could buy you a few beers for your time. Take care and thanx again.
  20. Search this website and you might get lucky, you are asking a lot though for your 7K. http://www.soidb.com/en/index.html
  21. Thanx Cicero, I have a couple of questions. 1..Is UBC TV available as standard or is there a monthly fee.Its something id like so i keep off the beer the odd night. 2...I have booked my flights, arrive 7th Oct.Depart 3rd of April 2012.Could you inquire about availability and as to what sort of deposit is required.Or get me the name of a contact who speaks good english to contact. 3..What are the general facilities like, especially the pool and soround. As ive said before its location isnt a problem for me,but would you stay there again. If you could help with these
  22. Hi Cicero, I hope you arrived safely and are having a ball, maybe you are having too much of a ball lol.No time at all to check out Maxx. I guess ill just have to be patient and hope you get a boring afternoon for the research. Have a couple of beers for me haha.
  23. You have to get off fast and walk very quickly lol. Having said that if you take the none A380 flights they usually arrive about the same time as Etihad,so 2 tonka's or one monster.
  24. The only thing now is it worth the £714(over £100 more)for the experience.I guess over a 6 mnth stay its ok.
