  1. I tried to post pics on stunners but I don't think I can do this as I have only been on this board for a couple of months and have under 50 posts to date. If I can post pics could you tell me how to go about it and if I can view what I post? Thanks
  2. Condition of barfining them is that the cell phone be turned off. Make that agreement up front before you pay the fine. After all, they are on your time once you barfine them.
  3. Hotel Club gave me a confirmation number then the following day sent me an email saying that the hotel I had selected was full and they would not be able to honor the reservation. Make sure you have a confirmed reservation.
  4. We all know how the first thing your newly aquired Thai girl is going to go for upon entering your hotel room is the TV remote control. My son gave me a fake TV remote control that issues an electric shock when you press the on button. They drop it quick. I brought this along on my last visit and it works well. I just tell them that it must be broke and that I will have the hotel replace it and turn their interest to other areas.
  5. I visited the FLB Bar several times turing my visit to Pattaya in mid February and enjoyed meeting Keith as well as the new owner and the other folks in attendance. I met a lady early on this trip and kept her for my time in Pattaya as she was quite a stunner however noticed other nice looking ladies in attendance at the FLB. Ask Keith about the soon to be famous rubber nuts when you see him. The FLB was a fun stop with a good live band and fun loving patrons. I will be back next time in town.
  6. Check out Thai Airways. I flew them from JFK to BKK last month. Seems to me I paid around $1,000 counting taxes ect. Best feature is they have a non-stop flight from JFK to BKK that arrives in BKK at 4:00 PM. Advertised flight time is 17 hrs but they do a little better than this. This saves you quite a bit of time as there are no connecting flights and the time wasted between these flights. The other airlines flying from the east coast always seem to arrive at around 11:00 pm at the same time several large flights arrive and this slows you down waiting for customs and immigration in BKK. Thai Airways seats offer more room than Cathy Pacific in coach and Thai also offers a premium coach class if you are interested for about $200 more each way with lots of room. It is much nicer arriving in the afternoon than at 11 pm at night and clearing the airport after midnight.
  7. I used Thaiairways direct non-stop from JFK to BKK in February. It sure beat having to change planes in Hong Kong or Japan with the layover time between connecting flights. Advertised as 17 hours one way but they do a little better than that and their coach seats offer more room than Cathay Pacific. The Thai airways flight arrives in BKK at 4:00 pm while the other flights from Cathay Pacific and Northwest all arrive at the same time at 11:00 PM. Much nicer getting there in the afternoon.
  8. When I clear customs in BKK I usually stop by the duty free store in the lower level of the airport than take the elevator up to the "Departure" level to catch a cab who is dropping off a departing passenger. Good idea to have your hotel address printed out in Thai as some of these guys do not speak english. I prefer to use the "Taximeter" cabs and pay the toll on the expressway going into BKK. You should be able to make a deal with them to take you to Pattaya for between 1,000 bt to 1,200 bt plus tolls. By going upstairs in the airport to departures you avoid the line for cabs which can be long if there are several large flights all arriving at the same time.
  9. Cathy Pacific is a great airline and their service is 2nd to none but their coach seats are very tight. I use to use them to fly from JFK to HKK and then on to BKK but this time I am going to use the Thai Airways direct flight from JFK to BKK. It looks like the coach seats have a bit more room plus I will save about 4 hours travel time and arrive at 4 pm rather than around 11 pm. The Thai Airways flight is a little more expensive but may be worth it.
  10. The Majestic Grande is almost right at Nana Entertainment Plaza and is girl friendly. Nana area is every bit a s good or better than Soi Cowboy but it's a matter of choice. If you want one close to Cowboy try the Westin or Sheraton which are both about a block away.
  11. I had a suit and 7 shirts made by one who trades under the name of George in the south end of Pattaya last March and the work and fit were both terrible. Actually the Indian guys don't make the clothes. They sell the material and take the measurments and out source it to a Chinese sweat shop where all the sewing is done. I did have very good results from one directly across from the Nana Hotel in Bangkok on a prior trip. I think the name was Nana Tailors or something like that. I recall the place had Nana in it's name.
  12. In looking at an airline seat info website it looks as if Thai Airways economy seats have a little more room than those offered by Cathy Pacific and other cariers. Is this correct?
  13. Try the Marriott. It's great
  14. You will get a better exchange rate if you use your ATM card to withdraw cash from your bank account.
