Don't poison them, it could contaminate the meat.

You can still be a pilot for them. They are hiring pilots- no experience required.

From east coast of US (New York) probably Cathy Pacific has the best service. Route is JFK to Hong Kong (16 hrs) then Hong Kong to BKK (about 2 1/2 hrs) I do however sometimes fly Aerosvit when I can catch their business class on sale. Pretty much a plain jane airline but their business class is fine and they give you free limo service in New York.

My wife & I used Egypt Air from Bangkok to New York on January 27, 2011. The flight left BKK and went to Cairo where we changed planes for New York. We were in first class and the plane, flight crew, food and everything else was fine HOWEVER 1-27-11 was the day the shit hit the fan in Cairo. On our approach to Cairo we could see a major riot in the streets with cars burning and total turmoil. There was chaos inside the Cairo Airport as all the major airlines had cancelled their flights to and from Cairo leaving thousands of passengers stranded. The US Embassy got Americans out about 4 days later on charter flights to Jordan at the everyday low cost of $4,000.00 each. What a deal. You can count on them. We hung out in their first class lounge for several hours until our connecting flight to New York boarded. At this time Egypt Air was the only major airline still serving Cairo. The first class passes Egypt Air gave us in Bangkok helped us get through a very crowded police security check point in the airport quickly and our flight to New York left just 2 hours before Cairo Airport was closed down. I have no complaint with Egypt Air as they treated us well but I am not interested in any other flights that connect in Cairo.

When I was in Amsterdam I was staying in the Renaissance Hotel which is an excellent hotel I decided to go to the casino in Amsterdam and inquired at the front desk as how to get there. The gentleman behind the desk instructed me to go out of the front door and go to the streetcar island which was in the middle of the street and wait for a certain numbered streetcar which would take me to within about a block of the casino. I thanked him and waited on the island with a number of other folks for the streetcar which came within 10 minutes. I got on the streetcar along with several other folks who also waited on the island. I sat down in a seat as they did thinking someone would come in my car to sell me a ticket. No one ever came in and I noticed people who got on at the same stop as I did were starting to get off at various stops without paying so I assumed the streetcars must be free. I got off at my stop and went to the casino. When I left the casino I returned to the hotel on another streetcar and again no one asked for any money. I used the streetcars several more times when I was in Amsterdam. When I was checking out of the hotel the gentleman behind the desk asked me what I thought of Amsterdam. I told him I liked it a lot and thought the free streetcar were a very nice touch. He replied "what do you mean by free streetcars?" I told him about getting on and no one came to collect fares and I observed others get on and off with no payment so I figured they were free. He laughed and told me the other persons probably had weekly or monthly passes and I should have gone to a machine between the two cars and bought a ticket. Said it was a good thing that a transit inspector had not come on and requested my ticket. Guess I was lucky on that one.

Very nice photos. Brings back a few memories of when I was in Amsterdam last which was about 12 to 15 years ago. The poster who made reference to the girls who sell their butts was I am sure talking about the famous "Red Light District". For his information you are not allowed to take any photos of the ladies in that district. This is strictly enforced and you will lose your camera if caught. At least thats how it was when I was there and probably has not changed.

Poor LB`s under attack from cheap chalee Indians
jballstate replied to danboy's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Wait a minute. Isn't the ladyboy supposed to rob the Indians. Not the Indians rob the ladyboy. These Indians need to read the rules and stick by them. -
You are probably better off to buy a Toyota or honda made in Thailand due to import taxes on foreign imports

Singapore Airlines is rated # 1 by many and no doubt their service is of excellent quality. If you are flying from Europe to Bangkok the flight first goes to Singapore where you change planes to fly back to BKK. The flight passes BKK on the way to Singapore. You then have to change planes and fly back to BKK. This will cost you around an extra 5 hours counting the time between flights, the extra time lost in flying by BKK on the way to Singapore and then the flight from Singapore to BKK.

If you are flying from US east coast I don't know why you would fly to LAX to connect with a flight to BKK. You are going to spend about 7 hours getting to LAX from the east coast counting flying time, checking in, ect. plus a possible plane change in route. Then you have the layover time in Los Angles. From the east coast now that Thai Airlines no longer flys non-stop from JFK to BKK would be to take Cathy Pacific from JFK to Hong Kong (16 hrs) and then fly them from Hong Kong to BKK ( between 2 & 3 hours as I recall). Total flight time including chang in Hong Kong is about 20 hrs. Cathy Pacific is a very good airline with good food & flight attendants as well. If you are looking for a good business class fare check out Aerosvit Airlines. Sometimes they will put on a special that is hard to beat. You fly from JFK to Kiev and then Kiev to BKK. They are pretty much a plain jane airline but their food and service in business class is not bad at all. They will also furnish you with limo service from anywhere in New York City to JFK if you are flying business class. I made 2 trips JFK to BKK business class on them just over a year ago and on one trip I paid $2,900 round trip and on the other flight caught a really good special for $2,200 US round trip. The free limo service is handy if you are flying into LGA and have to get over to JFK for your connection. I would not fly them in economy class.

I have flown Singapore Airlines a couple of times and their service & food are first class and the flight attendants arn't too hard to look at either. One thing to note, if you are flying from Germany to Bangkok the flight goes from Frankfort to Singapore and then you change planes for the leg to Bangkok. Unless you just like to fly this is not the most efficient route to Bangkok. On the leg from Germany to BKK you pass by BKK in route to Singapore and then have to fly back to BKK from Singapore. With a stop in Singapore changing planes ect. you will end up wasting probably 4 hours that you could be putting to better use in Pattaya. Been there & done that.

I think if you do a border run by land you only get a 2 week visa when you come back into Thailand. If you enter the country by air they give you a 30 day visa on arrival. Better check that out.
