Make sure you find a shop with newer technology. Some still use a tray full of sample glasses.. They need to get up to speed. But there are a ton of shops there and Im sure youll find something you like. If your in Canada are they exspensive there?? I know they do a lot of designer fashions in Pattaya which can be spendy but I might be wrong. I go to Vista optical in Fred Meyers back home.. Cheap!!! Ed

The Yensabai is an OK bet Used it many many time. Its just hit and miss on the room avaialabity but they show you a pic of the rooms available when they offer to you. The Yensabai can be fully booked or you just might get in send an e mail doesnt hurt! Heres a link to their site.. Its includes avg prices. I think the Apex hotel runs it till 1 or 2 PM they have a sign out front 2nd road almost across from the Mike Shoppping center excellent choice Buffet with all the trmmings and pretty cheap. Its identicle as the Lek Hotel's spread. same owners etc. try it once Its one of the later running breakfasts in town Later!! ED

Stay off Korean yes good deals but lots of lost luggage. I used them several times and finally gave up on them They lost my luggage numerous times and I saw many passengers in the same boat. And thats flying from the west coast!!!! One time they didnt pay for de-icing service in Japan for winter time and we sat sat sat at the terminal almost a riot because other flights were leaving.. I hope another poster can answer you. I have flown to PP through U Tapoe but I never saw a flight to Siem Riep from there. I dont even thenink they have it direct to PP any more. Wish they would leave the departure fee alone. Im sure they will raise it with the new airport though. They had a tough time last time doing it. They jacked up the rate and there was an uproar about it and they actually reduced it back to original 500!!!! That really happened!! Im sure this time they will have an excuse with the new aiport

I hope u get the info you need.. I can tell you this. That you can walk into any travel office and buy a ticket to PP just a cpl hours before it leaves. You can haglle prices at this end too. Its not a big deal at all if your already here in Patts. If not I understand why your checking. But if your in town no savings whatsoever on buying it from your end in advance etc..

John, I've taken that route many a times ..... I dont know whats up with the "gouging" you fares especially since July is hot season over there... Lately there are a lot of airlines flying out of Seatac to Asia.. United, Delta, NW air, At times they use their logo but it ends up being NW air or China but who cares... I have flown out of San Fran LA as well as Vancouver. If you can use Seatac stick with it. Even if its a hundred cheaper to go the other routes... There is time involved and a lot of check points to go through etc.. Just slow and a pain. NW airlines flies over there with 1 hour stop in Narita daily.. Check thier website NWA.com and punch in dates..
