  8. I am considering the Nova Park (not the Nova Lodge) hotel for our next visit. When I ran a search I found some saying that that it was too far removed from 2nd road for easy transportation to get around and others who said it is an easy walk to 2nd road. The map that they show is not to scale and it is impossible to tell how far it is. Can anyone advise me how easy or difficult it would be to get around staying at this hotel. Any other information about this hotel would also be appreciated.
  9. Can anyone advise a site for a discounted booking for a stay in June? All the sites have checked have the same rate.
  10. I just booked Cathay Pacific JFK to BKK 5/30/06 to 6/16/06 for $857.4 including all taxes and fees
  11. My wife and I stayed at the Bella Villa Prima last month for a week and were less than impressed. We stayed in a suite which was good sized however the furnishings were not very good, the housekeeping was poor, and pool was cloudy. The breakfast was in the open air lobby with flies on almost everything in the buffet. For future reference we looked at Sunshine Vista Serviced Apartments on Soi 3 and felt that it was much better for us. We also looked at the Nirvana Suites and liked what we saw, however it did not have an elevator.
  12. I just booked the Ramada Inn at JFK for $149 which includes 14 nights parking with additional nights at $5 per night. http://www.ramada.com/Ramada/control/home
  13. Thanks for the reply. Yes it is a different one. The Nirvana Boutique Suites is located on Soi 4 off of Jomtien Beach road.
  14. My wife and I were planning on staying at the Sandy Spring or Sabai Lodge for our upcoming trip but I came across the Nirvana Boutique Suites in Jomtien and was wondering if anyone might have some knowledge of it. We have stayed at RG the last few times and wanted something a little different. We like the idea of a suite with a separate sleeping area. Any help would be appreciated.
  15. I had booked Windsor Suites for our trip in November but have just recently cancelled after reading some reports on another board that is was not visitor friendly. The Grand President would be a good choice in that price range. Ask for the TSM discount.
  16. Dad, Mrs catbear and I will also be in town Nov 18 thru the 26th and would be interested in co-hosting a party.
  17. Quality Suites Airport in close, resonably priced and with pick up and drop off at airport
  18. Hi Tom: Was there anything special you had to do when booking Bangkok Air tickets to have them e-tickets? I have just booked the flight from BKK to Samui but havent paid yet. There was nothing in the on line booking to ask this. Thanks for the help. Last year we had paper tickets delivered to the hotel but we got in to BKK from Florida at 1AM and our flight out was at 10AM. I was concerned that if the tickets were not there I would have problems. When we checked in at the hotel they first said that there was no envelope for us. The e-ticket seems a much better idea.
  19. Hubster- I believe bulkhead seats are reserved for disabled and bassinets for babies until the last minute. Row 35 and 51 are emergency row seats on both sides of the plane on NW flights to Tokyo and BKK and you should be able to reserve with a phone call.
