Olympic Size ?. Is this 50 metres in length like the one for the games in Athens ? Nothing like this in Pattaya as far as I know. Not many in the world for that matter.

Pattaya Park is probably the largest pool in the area, but is an irregular shape not suited for excercise swimming.

The best hotel pool for swimming lengths as opposed to just splashing around IMO is the one at the Eastiny Place hotel (Soi 8). Its about 20 m and rectangular in shape so is good for keeping fit. I have stayed there a few times and most mornings I made a habit of swimming for about half an hour, then returning to the room for a bit of different horizontal excercise and then to Rosie O'Grady's for breakfast. Excellent start for the day !.

ya if your walking down beach road headed towards walking street, just take a hard right, be careful though, don't think they use very much chlorine in the water :livid

If you are staying for a long time, renting at some of the condos can get you access to their swimming pools. Some like View Taley and Jomtien Condotel are big enough for lap swimming.

Cheers

Any idea how big the pools in the View Talay compex are? I'm considering renting a condo there when I retire next year and swimming will be my main form of exercise other than the horizontal variety in the bedroom. :D

Dusit resort have a 30 meter pool.

Like mentioned, if the Thai Garden one is still there it's 25m with a roof

Hard Rock is probably 20-25m but way too many kids around.

The Royal Cliff gym have a good one, hmmm 25 meters?

Marriott is around 20?

You can pay to use them all.

FalangKeyKnock,

Could cost you big. Normal cost is a day card for the gym - but don't have a clue since I normally stay there. Send them a mail. On the other side, showing up saying I'm just in for a dip (and they will think you will down a few beers could do magic). Try it before you buy some kind of a card.
