Enjoying Pattaya (except Dynasty Inn!)

Fabulous. As allways! Been here since the 11th and loving evry minute as usual!

 

Firtsly some up to date info on Soi 13 and Dynasty Inn.

 

I had booked the hotel based on reccomendations on the board. It is a nice comfortable hotel, modern and new and the rooms are fine, equivalent to a 3 Star hotel in the UK. The bad news is that the much discussed building work adjacent to the hotel (and it really is just a few feet away) is very, very very, noisy. From 0730 till 1700, there is a reall racket. In my opinion, unless you are a very heavy sleeper (not woken up by shotguns being fired at your bedside ) I would avoid this hotel until at least July. I moved out on thesecond morning along with several other guests. The receptionists were sanguin about the whole matter and lets us go with no drama. I subsequebtly checked into my usual room at The Sabai Lodge. The receptionist even gave me the old rate 1150baht /night for large dolphin pool room.

 

Any way the beer is cold the ladies still friendly and everything is as it should be. There are several new bars, and even one or two new go-go's. I have met some nice Russian ladies in their new bar, and I have eaten some fantastic seafood. I am just about to start my nightly pilgriamge to Walking Street to pay homage at the Temple of Super Baby and Diamond!
