Have to agree with Cash on this one. I think that Maui or Kauai would be excellent choices for honemooners. It seems like they might be asking for problems if they went ot Pattaya for a honeymoon.

I can just imagine a scene like this: the fellow gets married in Pattaya, the lads pop the champagne corks, and whilst the bride makes the rounds at the reception glad-handing those in attendance, the groom is in the back of the limo getting a short time-and of course he gets busted! :D

Better off going to Niagara Falls.(snore)Rgds, Jimmy

On a more serious side...

No place in Thailand gives you more value for money than Pattaya.

Royal Wing is available at the net from around 7000 Baht (low season) for their 1 bedrom suites with Jacussi and all. Roughly what an average motel cost back home (well, almost). It's honeymoon heaven. Apart from the breakfast (5xx ++), all drinks and food around Wing/Royal Cliff is quite OK'ish priced. Only way to keep people from running away probably.

Tell your honeymooner friends to fly to Phuket. There are lots of excellent resorts there. Since you are asking for 5* facilities, I assume the higher cost in Phuket is not an issue.

BKK of course has world class hotels. In a honeymoon trip, a short stay in BKK is fine, then head to Phuket which is very relaxing.

Pattaya is absolutely the wrong place for a honeymoon. Upon arrival, they would surely head over to Walking Street for seafood dinner in the evenig. Needless to say, they would regret choosing this destination.

I thought as much

didn't really want to no what him and his new wife get up to behind closed doors

, I told him the deal and now he's doing 2 nights Bangkok then singerpoor then somewhere else

cheers anyway . that could have been 1 of the quickest marriages to end on honey moon if he had gone to pattaya
