You might as well ask when the new airport will be finished?????????????????????????????????????????????????? :clap2 :beer

Lets hope the new drains will be big enough to cope with all the pubic hair and accidentally dropped telephones that find their way into the system

Anyone know what the current status is and when its likely to be finished??

They keep it in that condition so the US military forces on leave from Iraq don't get homesick for Baghad.

Just returned. Walking on Beach Road means you will not see any girls as you have to look down to avoid to fall into holes

I think there's a project to link up several reservoirs to relieve the severe water shortage, so much of the labor is diverted. Having water is a bit higher priority than filling holes. Pattaya is never going to be esthetically pleasing anyway. Just don't get too smashed and fall in

I believe the 'fill in the holes crew' from the electricity company are in dispute with the 'dig them up again crew' from the council.

Perhaps 2006?

What part of Beach Road is under construction?

:cry2 :cry2 :nod

Beach Rd from South Pattaya Rd to North Pattaya Rd in in a constant state of construction/destruction.

The pattern goes something like this:

1) Dig up the city's main tourist road and leave the holes and trenches gaping

2) Put in a pipe/cable - whatever!

3) Half fill it in, and ensure there are no safety barriers present

4) Have a fight with a politician/creditor etc etc

5) Lose in Court 6 months later

6) Repeat steps 1 to 5 for 4 years

We're in about cycle 3 right now, and it's working like a charm.

Beach Road funny last night around 7pm about 25 girls ran accross road to RG Plaza 1 minute later 2 pickups loaded with guys in light uniforms with a big searchlight pulled off road onto freelancer area.

They stayed there over 1 hour looks like they are taking action on Beach Road freelancers.

Funny thing was most off the girls then copped off around front of RG Plaza and uniformed mob did nothing.
