G'day guys..

A friend and I are heading to Pattaya for the first time in November.

We're both young fellas (23). Its not our first time in LOS, just Pattaya.

anyways, we're looking for a place to stay for 4 nights.

Has anyone stayed at The Rising Sun Hotel (www.risingsunbar.com) ??? its on Soi Yamato.

originally we were going to stay at Dynasty Inn, as Sand Springs and Inn House are both booked...

but i found the rising sun website, and now i'm thinking the extra money dynasty costs would be better spent on foods, drinks, etc.

thanks.

Hi

Seeing nobody else replied I checked out website though I have never stayed there. Seems good value for money, near Walking St, Beach Rd etc. Sure its not as good as Sandy etc but 1/3 rd the price. I would stay there as I like to spend my dosh on local delicacies  rather than expensive hotels. See what other answers you get.

Smacko,

I was booked to stay there for 4 weeks 18 months ago saw room but did not check in as the room was not to my liking.

For the cost it's ok but my advice is spend an extra 200 bht and have a nice room ie: Pig & Whistle

But as they say 'up to you'

Be Nice

i've already booked two rooms at the dynasty inn (travelling with a friend)..

but for 800bht less i saw rising and thought it might be worth a down grade..

Haven Hotel have rooms for 950bht.. again cheaper then dynasty... dam, too many hotels to choose from!.

is the big and whistle in the same area?

:chogdee2 As i,ve been going to Pattaya since 1993 i know my way around the place. I found a great little guesthouse a few doors down from the Rising Sun in Soi Yamato called the Sa Apartments. Very clean, 24 hour food downstairs, GF and they really make an effort - always polite & friendly. If you try and get in this place, get the two front rooms, they are big!!, with all the usual stuff, hot water etc. The rooms cost B500 all year round. Its in a great location too, easy to get anywhere, but the only drawback being the creatures of the 3rd category that loiter about on the bottom of Yamato [beach road] who try & have a sly grope with you.....the twats!!. If you log on to: threeladiesbar, you will find pictures of the rooms. Hope this helps!! Chogdee!!! :chogdee2
