Been reading some interesting stuff on the new airport, but where is it in relation to Pattaya? how many miles etc.

 

Also anybody know when it will open, according to thier website it should be open allready.

 

Oh and will our flights get cheaper?

Think your takin the piss mate. If it ever opens it will make travel time shorter to Pattaya, and they are supposed to have a rail link into Bangkok which will be a longer way away. I'd say about 90 mins Pattaya and less than an hour if you are lucky enough to get a driver like my last trip from Bangkok to Pattaya at 5 in the morning. Prices shouldn't be affected one way or the other. Taxi's should be cheaper as it's much nearer.

It is still out in the blue when it will open.

For the last trips I have timed the travel time between 45 to 65 minutes.

So expect a great saving time when it cumes to travel time. When it will open?... It will open!
