Northwest air fare sale

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to book from Philly to BKK for September and NWA has a R/T for $1172 all in. I've flown them before and they are OK. Price is nice. I hope UA matches it.

You might want to wait to see if the F/A go on strike next Friday. If they do, it could force the airline into Liquidation.

Your 3 months late. If you would have booked with UA in May you would have gotten their special bonus of double miles. I got triple miles, the online booking bonus and the deferred miles which works out to just shy of a freebie so the $1100 ticket price worked out to $550. 1luv

No frequent flyer miles with the cheapest ticket. I've flown Thai from JFK on a UA freebie and it's a great flight.

Northwest Airlines treats you real good if you fly them enough to get Elite status. Platinum gets 125% bonus miles and comp lounge access when on int'l flights. I enjoy that. :)

Well, I don't know if the price of $1172 is a "nice" price. China Air, EVA, and Thai can be had for less.

NW does seem to be offering thier "cash and miles" offer again.

According to the website, it is $610 +20K miles for a LAX-BKK trip. This seems like a much better deal. However if you try to book it the site says it is unavailable. This is probably because they book the Cash and Miles packages through their FF award system, which never has any BKK availability (unless you book a year in advance or less than a week in advance).

If you call an agent, there might be better availability, but the website has nothing in the November date range(when I am looking).

Agree. Award availability on NWA to BKK is so tough to find.

It's so tough that next week when In fly back to BKK from USA I will have to fly to Singapore, then catch a Malaysia airlines flight to Bangkok in the wee hours of the morning. Gotta do what ya gotta do!
